Meh. I just watched the Edelman punt return "fumble" and it did not touch his left thumb or right thumb. I don't know where anyone thinks it touched. Good call.

Moot point, anyway. Chiefs scored like two minutes later.

The big thing I see folks complaining about across the interwebz, which I agree with on some level... the NFL should change overtime rules, especially in the playoffs, so both teams get a chance to touch the ball.

No matter what the rules or situations are, the Pats will figure out a way around them.

  • The fumble that "wasn't a fumble"
  • Spygate
  • Deflate gate and destroyed phones
  • Teams not handing off when they should (Seattle)
  • Other teams historically crumbling in the 2nd half (Atlanta)

Got to give them credit for being opportunistic.

Moot as far as the outcome of the game, but not for conspiracy theorists thinking it's all rigged.

As far as roughing the passer call on chiefs.

"A defensive player is prohibited from clubbing the arm of a passer during a pass or just after a pass has been throw"

As a Raider fan the agony of watching Tuck Rule Tom go to another SB doesn’t even come close to the JOY of KC being SBless for 49 years and counting. I’m partying! Hate should always start with division rivals and flow outwards towards conference rivals.

And I’m fairly certain fate was behind the rams win, this bullshit pats dynasty started in 2002 when after the tuck rule joke the pats ended up beating the heavily favored rams for toms first SB, now 17 years later the rams are back to end the pats reign. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

Or it could be like Halley's comet - Tom beats the Rams coming in and beats them going out.

Thats probably more likely but trust me Tom ain’t going anywhere win or lose, that dude is serious about the 45 thing.

Yeah, I guess he is. As a Brady fan, I don't like that idea. I'd rather see greatness retire while it's still reasonably great. Didn't like to see Peyton Manning drop off, or Jordan, and especially not Muhammad Ali.

Why wouldn't he be able to? They give edge rusher's automatic "roughing the passer" penalties for touching his shoulder. When he hurt his knee they automatically changed the rules to prevent it from happening again. The NFL has been changed so that Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers can play until they feel like retiring. The rest of the players be damned.

One of the older guys I work with grew up in Boston, went to Notre Dame and is in freaking love with his Boston sports teams. From all I've heard about the North East from him and other's loving your "sports teams" is kind of just part of most people's life. I think Bandwagoning is more of a west coast thing.
Exactly

Boston/Los Angeles Super Bowl...yawn if that is the case. But the networks wouldn't have it any other way if possible.
I think the network wanted a Saints Chiefs bowl. Another Pats game is of little interest to the American public. We are tired of seeing them. Unfortunately, Brady proved he is the GOAT.
