He wants a shot at a national title and his degree. Returning 9 starters on offense and 7 on defense doesn't hurt, either.

He can get his degree any time.
Just my opinion. I think if guys are slated that high, you should always go.

No back set on 1st and 10 from the 11? Huh wut?

Does MM have the family background ($$) to blow of millions for a couple of years?

With the rookie scale slotted now, an insurance policy for $20m is almost as good, though. That's why players get the NFL evals even if they leave. It sets the limit on their insurance policy.

I don't worry about career threatening injury. I think that gets overblown. How often does it really happen. I just think if you are very likely a #1 pick, you should take advantage of that. nowhere to go but down. And next year, he'll be coming out(likely) with Winston as the top QB available, and a host of other decent QBs. I think he's easily picked this year over Bridgewater and co.

sucks settling for 3, but still nice to get points on the board there

Among QBs I think Bridgewater has as much chance to go #3 as #1--JAX media guys are saying that they like Bortles over Bridgewater right now.

Wonder if Bridgewater falls like Geno last year. DOubtful, but who knows.

Maybe, but Andrew Luck waited, and it worked out well for him. Same with Jake Locker and Matt Leinhardt, since both were Top 11 picks. Matt Barkley is the exception, but he was small and had a noodle-arm, anyhow, for anyone who watched USC play. He had some great receivers who made him look better than he was.

big stop for seattle there, chance to tie it up before the half

It feels like Seattle is getting blown out, then you look at the scoreboard, and it's right there for them. This 49er defense reminds me of the dominant Raven defense of 2000, though, with the way they're playing lately.

This'll sound homeristic, but aside from Kaepernick's running (I know, huge aside) SF has absolutely nothing right now on offense. It doesn't take much to put a spy on him in a halftime adjustment--that's what they did in the @SF game with Irvin, and I don't exactly know why they aren't doing it (or are doing it with an 80% KJ Wright) here.

Russell Wilson looks like Doug Flutie right now, and that's not a good thing.

That just means it's Hail Mary Time!

LOL @ Harbaugh (lipreading): "You gotta be kidding me!"

Fat Pants Harbaugh makes me laugh every time I see him freaking out on the sideline.

Pleated pants.

Did Troy Aikman play for the 49ers and I not know about it? He's basically a cheerleader for SF this game. It's obvious to me as an objective fan.

When Wilson isn't running much, does it matter? :dunno:

SF's been literally inside Aikman's head since Dana Stubblefield's knee in 94.
