the food hurt him the same amount the insult did. Gimme a fucking break Nate. The food throwing didn't cause the damn knee injury. Maybe instead if they called Bowman's grandmother a whore, you'd think it was an ok move ad feel some kinship with their fanbase?

Dude, do you seriously not understand how there are different circumstances? They're both classless moves, but I would THINK that a fan could differentiate between calling someone a mean name and kicking a man while he's down because his knee is currently destroyed.

I guess not....

Because once a few Seahawks fans did a bad thing and he doesn't like Seahawks fans, he is better than all Seahawks fans. No flaw in that logic, nope, none whatsoever.

Hahahahahah okay man. Whatever makes you feel better. I'm not the one justifying one bad thing with another. Ever heard that phrase, "two wrongs don't make a right?" The Seahawk fans throw food on a severely injured player and he justifies it by pointing out that Duck fans called Kevin Love's grandmother a whore one time.

Guess not. Looking at the two, a fan getting so worked up that they do something really shit to an injured player on a team they hate....really fucking lame. Classless. Worked up against a team, and lose your head.
Or, a fan getting so worked up against a team they hate that they see a player on that team's grandmother in the crowd by them and call her a whore......

Yeah, I think calling someone unrealted to the game a whore, a grandmother, is a bit worse honestly.

I did no such thing Nate, come on man. I am not justifying their actions. I said bitching about an entire fan base for the actions of a small portion is stupid, the same way I wouldn't lump an Oregon fan base into the few stupid ones that did that. The sae way I would not say our entire Blazers fan base is crap for the poor actions I've seen of a few.

I was chatting with 9ers fans during the game and they were quite upset with the Bowman injury. It was a horrible injury and al the hawks fans in the chat I saw were classy and calling out any fans that were trying to rub salt in the wound (and there were a few). I just don't think you can generalize all fans for actions of a few. I don't think RR7 was justifying what happened to Bowman when he was carted off the field, but maybe I missed something.

Edit: Also, sorry if I am coming across like a dick. I get it was an emotional game, and I can't say that I wouldn't be a little touchy had the game gone differently. I'm just going to quit commenting on this. Just wanted to say that not all Hawks fans are bad people despite your experiences or some examples of bad apples.

I haven't read through the whole thread yet but I am sure Nate said that the Refs caused the 9ers to lose right?

They made some bad calls for sure. Kaep lost this game though. He was not good in the 2nd half. 2 picks and a strip sack in crunch time doesn't get it done.

Hawks were the better team today. Not saying they are the better team overall (don't believe that). But on one day (which is all it takes) the Hawks showed they were better.

How about you read the thread before making assumptions?

quite the opposite. Nate didn't try to blame the refs at all.

There were some bad calls both ways, but nothing that affected the game. Frankly, the noncall on the fumble when Bowman was hurt ended up with the 9ers having better field position with the 4th down play. Overall I thought the reffing was pretty even.

So do the Hawks have a chance against the Broncos? I think if it snows in NY (really NJ isn't it?) then SEA could do well as they would stick to the ground game and DEN probably couldn't air it out as much.

I think DEN should be favored in this game though (and rightfully so). What would you put the line at? 3.5? 7.5?

The blown call on the roughing the kicker affected the game. It gave Seattle the ball and they promptly scored on the next drive, but honestly it doesn't matter because there's no guarantee that SF would have done anything with the ball if they had kept it. The offense was playing like complete shit for most of the game.

It was definitely a defensive game and yeah I guess that call might have made a difference -- but yeah who knows if SF can move the ball. Both offenses had problems moving the ball or not turning the ball over.

Sherman in the post-game conference is destroying Crabtree.

The Niners put so much of their offense on running the ball and Gore was completely ineffective. Without having a running game (outside of Kap) the Seahawks were able to shut down the passing game. Seattle's defense is insane. I'm not super impressed with their offense though.

I love that there is two west coast teams (well, Denver is close enough) in NY. No east coast bullshit.

Film don't lie... @nflnetwork @espn pull up the tape of that game and show me where this guy is the best? #fake #fake #fak

Dude, you just lost. Film don't lie? Is their footage of you fighting for and catching that last pass?

Not meant for anyone on this board---where it's been refreshingly civil--but facebook's blowing up:

I find it odd that the most vehemence comes from a fanbase whose coach is notorious for his tantrums, fighting another coach after a game and who ran up the score last week, and whose WR was talking smack all game (up until the game-defining moment where he didn't come up with the ball). Total guess here, but I'm thinking that if Crabtree had come down with that ball there might've been a couple of words said, or a mocking TD dance. Like he's done before. EDIT: Like RR7 just posted above. :smh:

Sherman is universally regarded as one of the top 3 Conerbacks in the League. He has proved it time and time again.

It is just hard feelings (which I can kind of understand). Being in the heat of the moment and all.

Sure, but Sherman's going to get a lot more shit for what he says than Crabtree does. Sherman will get mocked for being cocky, but Crabtree will get ignored for being a sore loser. Film don't lie. No, it doesn't Michael.

Okay, come on, of course Crabtree is going to respond. Sherman just called him sorry and mediocre on national television.

In his post-game news conference, Sherman had a lot more to say about Crabtree.

"He wouldn't make the top 20 of NFL receivers," Sherman said. "If any team had a chance to pick Crabtree, they wouldn't draft him."

After the interception, Sherman ran over to Crabtree and patted him on the rear, saying something. Crabtree pushed Sherman in the facemask.

"I was making sure everyone knew Crabtree was a mediocre receiver," Sherman said. "And when you try the best corner in the game with a mediocre receiver, that's what happens. I appreciate that he knows that now. There has been a lot of talk from him running his mouth about me."
Crabtree isn't going to respond? He lost. He probably should have left it alone, but Sherman should have just let his play speak for itself.

Outside of the next two weeks I don't see it lasting for either player. Sherman has done this before. It is who he is. A lot of the very good players have to do stupid stuff like this just to continue to motivate themselves. They all feel slighted but manufacture a lot of it because they feed off it and in turn play better. I think it is crap but Sherman is not alone in doing it.

And some of that is cockiness. That's expected at his age.

If you talk trash throughout a game with a guy against you, then, you lose the game, ad he wins it by stopping you from scoring, you lose your right to still try to talk shit after the game. Well, you can, you just look like a sore loser. Again, the film does speak for itself. Film of him knocking a pass away from Crabtree, and winning the game. No reason, immediately after the game, to go to twitter and respond. You lost.

that's not how these guys play. Were you a Niners fan during the Deion years? He makes Sherman look as humble as Moses. Sherman (like Gary Payton or Larry Bird) will talk smack to anyone, and generally back it up. And let you know about.

He is right about the first part (imo and I think in most peoples') but as athletes do a lot he had to even over-exaggerate and throw in the second part (which isn't near the truth).

Idiots will be idiots I guess.

Yeah, Payton was a huge trash talker during his heyday.
