...I was told "not necessarily".
Was that Joe's fault? The guy is just in decline & apparently doing very little to make adjustments & help the team.
Its a shame Joe can't set up a cursing jar, you know, you say a curse word you put a dollar in the jar. In Teixeira's case, every time he doesn't take the extra easy hit to an open left side of the field Tex puts a thousand or 5 thousand into a jar for charity.

Is this about those 3 stupid questions you asked?
I believe I answered not necessarily on the first two and asked YOU if he (Beane) was a SCOUT and how many players on this current A's team were homegrown FOR THE 3RD question.
I don't know about you -
...but I think MY answers make more sense while YOU are the one who wants people to say WHAT YOU THINK should be the right answer.
You've just been slapped around again.
Cut it now....Beane, for all we know, would be chewed to pieces under the NY microscope if he had a 200 MIL payroll to work with and failed to deliver at least one or two trips to the ALCS...never mind the WS.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

umm...Rick..I know Tex wasn't Girardi's fault.
But Tex is was a big reason why I suggested Joe should've shook up the lineup more often than he did..and he didn't do it nearly enough. I was talking about REALLY shaking up this underachieving lineup to the point where I would've used Cervell (on days when he started), Ichiro, Headley and some others ( "ANYONE ELSE") in the 3-4-5 spots.
That's all.
memo to '59
Allow me to quantity a couple of things:
Tex hit 2 HRs in August, and 2 HRs in September with a grand total of 12 RBI for the two months.
His OBP was .276 in August and .256 in September.
His SLG% was .307 in August and .301 in September.
..."quantity"?...huh.
...and I'm pretty sure everyone is well aware of Tex'x offensive shortcomings...not exactly news.
...for the umpteenth time, and as pointed out by others, even if Tex had played better or even if he had been moved down in the order, it would not be enough to offset the others who under-performed. Should not be a hard concept to grasp.
I'm assuming the word (sentence would make sense if...) should've been quantiFy rather than quantiTy... Be letter makes the sentence go from ramblings to a semblance of intelligence....
...lol @ damage control.
...camage dontrol.
...9-3

...so lemme guess, you've scurried off to hand pick some stats? (wait for it)....lemme guess, RBIs?
...isn't this about the point in the argument when you typically start mumbling and replying with such sphincter tightening retorts as "blah blah blah"...or "go dry off"...or "I just farted"....very compelling.
...how predictable...you can't produce anything of substance to back up your opinion so you again mumble and refer to a previous post which has already been addressed and you claim that you're "finished with me"?...seriously?...that's it?...that's what you're going to hang your hat on?
...you've clearly and fairly been out voted on this topic (and others) but that wasn't good enough for you...other people have said you were off base and that wasn't good enough for you...and actual stats were presented to you showing how.why you were wrong and evidently that's not good enough for you either. ...but yeah, I'm the one with the problem here.
...like I pointed out before, you're alone on an island of your own on this subject...and you've had the opportunity multiple time to escape in the life boat but you evidently would rather drowned...your problem.
...and it sounds to me like you're the one begging for support from "the board"...I don't see any.

I voted NO -
..Girardi did NOT do all he could to put this team in a better position to win, the offense/LINEUP was the biggest culprit and MANAGING this lineup was his biggest weakness. BINGO!
CLOWN
...and I am laughing at you cherry picking stats because you're desperate as you did in your post #45
If you saw Matt Williams interview, on Wednesday, you'd know:
We (the public and/or Opposition), will never know of the intricacies, and workings, details, of strategy, even tho' it looks apparent on the field, in the form of calls, say hit and run, or other visual plays, we see, and hear.....yet what we see and hear, often comes up far short, of the intent and strategies, we see and assume we know....key word, assume.
Decisions you and I will never know or figure out, despite what you or I see during a game.
Managerial decisions always far exceed a Fan's Perspective or viewpoint based on literally watching any game....
Regardless, you or I can NOT say, what decisions Joe makes, based on a fans visual take, on what you may deem as a bad call, or vice versa. In other words, no one OUTSIDE the Clubhouse will never know; and We are NOT privy to confidential information; details, we will never hear or know about.....we can only assume from our visual perspective.........
The bottom line is simple: How many times, have you seen, Ricky Henderson limping to 1st base, on a walk??? Only to exploit the oppositions assumption(s)...
Can you tell me what HOF QB, often wore a Knee Brace on His good knee, so the opposition would lay off his bad knee????
Same logic applies beyond just injuries, it applies to every aspect of a MLB game, in ways you and I will never know.....
...and for about the 5th time, you were clearly outvoted by a wide margin..
