'I'm living on borrowed time,' Ozzy Osbourne says of his own experiences with drug and alcohol abuse.
Bat-biting rocker Ozzy Osbourne has spoken out over the death of Victoriaraised actor Cory Monteith - with a warning about the perils of drugs.
In an interview with Chicago's WGNTV to promote the new Black Sabbath album 13, the legendary headbanger said many of his friends have died from substance abuse and he is "living on borrowed time."
The Sabbath frontman, who has a long history of drug abuse, said: "I went through all that stuff and I survived, but you know what? I haven't got many friends that I used to do it with that are alive. They're all dead."
Osbourne also admitted he struggled to tap his creative side without the aid of alcohol.
"I used to think I couldn't write or perform songs without a drug or a drink inside me, and that's a load of crap," he said.
