haha...homerbullies? That's just hilarious! So I'm guessing Jordan fans in the 90's in Chicago were homerbullies too? This is a response to compulsive Blazerbashers wherever they lurk.

A fan who calls someone a troll, or whatever because they think the Blazers are not quite as good as the other fan thinks is a bully, and I really wish the mods would stop that stuff.
It certainly goes both ways, but 99% of the time it starts with a homer calling out someone trying to be more realistic in their opinion of the team. It makes for a poor forum, IMHO

Well, I see that this is going about how I thought it would when this old thread got bumped. I don't see any value in bumping these old threads simply for the purpose of rubbing another poster's nose in a mistaken opinion. Not saying that happened here since the guy doing the bumping wasn't even around for the initial discussion and he didn't seem to have an agenda here. KS was the one needlessly picking at old scabs, IMO. That said, I think that the issue I have with some of your takes, MM, is in the highlighted text above. You tend to view those with a positive view of the team as "homers" who have a lemming-like tendency to support the Blazers every action. You see yourself as the one with the more "realistic" take on the team. The problem with this is that the Blazer's record last year doesn't support the notion that your negative assessment of the team's prospects was the more realistic take. Perhaps the truth tends to be somewhere in the middle?
The homerbullies vs the blazerbashers...now does that sound like a roller derby poster or what? I was being sarcastic. I like balanced discussions. I've agreed with Mediocre Man a couple of times in the past. I don't call people trolls but I get the homer tag pretty often. Would be refreshing if we all were just called fans.
