LaMarcus Aldridge is trying to extend his range beyond the three-point line in an effort to expand his game.

"I know he is shooting the three-ball well now," said Brandon Roy. "I don't want to say it too loud because I don't know if coach wants him shooting too many. But he's shooting it really well. That's the biggest thing that I've noticed. He's added the handle to his game and the three point ball."

Aldridge, at 6-11, is essentially a pick-and-pop kind of guy at this point in his career.

"I think my face-up game has gotten better," Aldridge admitted. "This year I am trying to play more facing the basket."

He could end up getting 24 ppg this year if Oden has a decent passing game. Aldridge is gonna tear it up.

If he can drain that three point shot regularly he is gonna tear things up.

He already tore it up in the Fan Fest while playing with Oden..I expect some more this season.

I'm a big Aldridge fan and all, but I'll temper those fan fest results knowing that without Channing, there was nobody who could come close to guarding him. With Ike on him, those dominating numbers are pretty expected.

Plus, I'd be hesitant to put too much stock into what somebody does at a fan fest while playing half assed ball against their teammates.

That's reasonable, but the fact is that LMA looks much more fluid with his moves, his handle looks tighter, and he's been widely considered the most impressive guy in training camp so far. Greg's presence is really going to help him this year.
