And the article ends with unexplained optimism. "aldridge will certainly make the spurs better, but I have no idea how" Then why the fuck are you certain bitch?
It's the same shit I had to deal with the last 2 years, everyone claimed LA was such a good player but no one could give a good reason why.
Sweep the Spurs!!
We get the first 2 games right away...Nov. 11th at Moda and then the 16th in San Antonio. Should be a good test.

We are so much better defensively than he is used to that I think he's going to find those passing lanes clogged..this new Blazers roster is so much faster than what he's practiced against in the past.I always thought opponents should trap him 20% of the time so LMA starts holding the ball and tries to read if its coming or not. Then live with LMA taking some long 2's. You don't want to double every possession or he will get used to it and pass to open shooters. If you never double he will be able to score on his defender. But if you keep him guessing and force him to think he'll make mistakes and use up the shot clock holding the ball. Some of our opponents over the years did this to great success but not as often as you'd think. I'll be very interested to see what Stotts has in mind.
"They have asked Aldridge to be more aggressive."
Yeah, get used to that.
Have they seen the 2010 playoffs vs the suns, or even last years for that matter

No, everybody else only saw the rockets series.Have they seen the 2010 playoffs vs the suns, or even last years for that matter
No, they only remember the first two games of the Rockets' series...not the last 4 games where he averaged 22.5ppg on 33-83 (39.7%) shooting. Amazingly enough, those first two games he was 2-2 from 3, 16-31 (51%) mid-range and 17-26 (65%) in the paint, taking roughly one jumper for every paint shot. After that, he was 19-55 (34%) from mid-range and 14-28 (50%) in the paint, taking 2 jumpers for every paint shot. "Aggressive" LMA showed up for about 3 of the 11 games that postseason. No, everybody else only saw the rockets series.
You don't even have to game plan for him, just let him be himself. Teams scheme to get guys to take mid-range jumpers, and LA is happy to do that. That is what drove me nuts. Our bigs are going to destroy this guy when we meet him..just watch! Stotts knows how to game plan for Lamarcus
No, we should have a Brandon Roy welcome home night. We should get one of those "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" signs and hang it from the Moda Center when Tex arrives.

So, I bet LaMarcus is glad he finally opened up a bit and was prepared to admit uncertainty and that he still feels like a Blazer.
Once again, we sure show how classy we are.
I like the points per shot stat, because it's an easy way to take into account 2s,3s, and getting to the FT line. The best offenses in the nba last year generated 1.25+ shots per game, with the best being the Clippers at 1.28.
Last year, LaMarcus pps = 1.17. That is equivalent to the Indiana Pacers team output, and they wre not one of the better offensive teams last year.
As a contrast, Damian Lillard, who had a bad shooting year, was at 1.27, which would be a tad better than the 2nd place team in that stat, the Warriors. And he created a lot of his own shots, more so than LA. Just goes to show you that we'd have been much better off with someone else chucking up those shots.
How badly he sucked when he was in the league. What are you going to talk about when LMA is no longer around the league?!
