OT Aldridge may not finish season with Spurs

It wouldn't be funny if the Spurs ended up with Cousins.

No, no it wouldnt...dammit dammit the Spurs are going to get Cousins because Divac is dumb enough to take lazy Labitch

No doubt he is talented. But he takes things way too personally. It does not take much for him to feel slighted. It was a matter of time until Pop said something that would bruise LA's ego. This of course is just a guess.

Yeah I just don't see Pop and the Spurs catering to him and assuaging his needs like the Blazers did...

Please Olshey do not bring the Lamonster back...I value the chemistry the Blazers have...he would eat it like cancer

The thing is with Duncan gone, Lamoochie thinks the Spurs are his team. But, its Leonard's and Parkers team...third fiddle...must suck for such an ego hound

On one side, it pisses me off that the Spurs would actually get assets in return for this guy while we gave him up for nothing but capspace.

On the other, bwahahahahahahaha again. Screw you, Lamarcus.

I'm thinking they are gonna get a bit less then we would have, as his reputation is becoming well known around the league...not sure he's worth as much as he used to be, or as much as the Spurs might think. They are probably stuck with him

If they trade him at the deadline or during the summer you would have to think PHX and BOS would be the frontrunners to get him. Both have pieces that SA would like.

They'll get pieces back. In the current NBA when Allen Crabbe makes nearly as much as him, and Nic Batum makes 7 more mil per year than him, they'll get assets in return. He's still a 20/8 guy on nearly every team in the league.

So which teams have ex spurs personnel working for them...no doubt pop is gonna try and force a hand again

Pop comes across as a kind of guy who I wouldn't want to play poker with. He'd probably show you he has a pair of deuces and still take the stack(and tell you to your face, i'm taking the stack) even though he lost..cause Pop doesn't lose

No way does PHO give up any of their youth to get him. He spurned them too after they cleared cap space and signed Tyson Chandler so he wouldn't have to play center. After he chose SAS, they wisely went into full rebuild with youth movement and it's working out great for them. No way do they go backwards and blow up their promising future to get a 31-year old prima donna that won't make them contenders and gets them to the 7th or 8th seed at best.

He'll probably get traded to the Lakers...lol who am I kidding the Lakers don't have anything to offer

Yeah especially Phoenix. They have some good young bigs. I wonder what the back story is. The woman reporting it seemed to be reluctant to go after LA because of it. I wonder if other teams will too.

This all true, but maybe they think they have too much youth and need one vet. But I agree with you, I don't think LMA would be happy there. Nor is he a leader for all the young players. Dallas might work but Carlisle can be tough to play for as well and who would they trade. Maybe to the Clips for Blake.....

Who they would never in a million years give up for a 31-year old, self-centered, chemistry destroying, cry baby. It's not like mortgaging their future to get Aldridge would make them contenders in the West. At "best" it makes them a 7th or 8th seed, which means no more lottery picks to stock up talent for the future.

PHO has drafted VERY well the last two years. The core of their team moving forward are all teenagers. They have a very bright future. Giving up any of that promising youth for a 31-year old makes no sense at all and would be a huge step in the wrong direction.

If Aldridge goes anywhere, it has to be to a team in win now mode that is looking to get past the Warriors in the West, or the Cavs in the East (most likely). It may end up being a 3 or 4 team trade to get SAS what they want in return.

They already have Tyson Chandler and Leandro Barbosa. That's all the veteran leadership they need. Those guys both have championship experience. Aldridge has never been past the second round.
