Aldridge possibly out for an extended time

God damn that's terrible news..... :\ We are definitely going to take a standings hit.... Ouch.

If there were ever a time for one of our third-year lotto forwards to step up and make a name for himself, this is it.

This is horrible, and probably screws us up for next year too. With LMA out, Wes is gonna have way more opportunities to showcase his skills and up his stats, thus some damn teams will offer him max if he does..ugh.

Once we get Lopez/Freeland back, and if we don't have any other big injuries, it's still a pretty good team. I don't really care about the standings, just about making the playoffs and being healthy when they arrive. But guys gotta step up.

Let's look at best case scenarios ...

Leonard becomes a stud

We make it to the playoffs with a healthy team

We get a killer trade that pushes us over the top and we get the underdog chip back that we've been lacking

When lopez gets back start Leonard. Until then give trob a real shot.

Tough break. Ball is in Neil's hands now. Do we watch this season go down the drain or make a deal?

If we make it to the playoffs with health we'll be fine. Not sure what magic you expect Neil to do at this point.

Was hoping for the best but expected the worse.

So if we have 31 wins and there are 39 games left and we go 500 then that puts us at about 50 or 51 wins.

We simply can not lose to sub 500 teams from here on out whether it's at home or on the road.

Was there any chance for him to play with it? If so, did his upcoming free agency have anything to do with the decision?

Maybe NO needs to package a deal for Greg Monroe now. Seems like a great fit at this moment.

somewhere, OKC fans are going "boo hoo".

With the way Monroe and the Pistons are playing right now, I don't think Van Gundy would be that interested. I think they try to do whatever they can to keep him after this season.

I'd expect nothing else from that group of idiots. I've seen so many thunder fans who think losing Durant for a few weeks was the worst thing that could have ever happened to them.

That's true. But if they don't think they can resign him (which sounds like he doesn't want to come back), maybe CJ/Truck/1st for Monroe.

Am I the only one who thinks we still make the playoffs WITH home court advantage.

that's the mindset you get when you've had a cup of coffee as an NBA fan

I believe it is possible but they would have to really buckle down on things like beating sub 500 teams, never losing at home and stop letting the opponent get big leads that we think we can come back from.

Where is Bass playing these days? Could possibly be a cheap replacement.

I think production at the 4 isn't really an issue.

Losing 23pts/boards from the starting 4 spot is a VERY BIG issue. You don't just slot Freeland and TRob in and get anything close. This team needs a replacement that's not currently on the roster.
