Too bad I don't think he has enough time to catch up.

That's a sign to me that NBA fans are more knowledgeable, for the most part, than fans of other sports. In LMA's case, performance on a winning team is actually being rewarded.

Repped for thinking to find that stat.

Thats super disappointing. He will get close but probably fall 20-30k behind. Would just be nice to have an all-star voted in by the fans since I can't remember the last time we had an all star voted in by the fan vote.

I think his 30p 25r game on national TV has helped his case as well

If LMA keeps it up, next year may be the year.

Tricky title, but good for LA. He seems to be getting his dues.

How do you then explain that 21,781 votes went to Omar Asik?

When's the cutoff? All of you aren't voting everyday?

Or 800k went to Kobe for doing nothing? Marketing shouldn't trump common sense, but it does at a far more consistent basis than it should.

Aren't there 3 front court players in starting line up? Doesn't that make it Durrant Aldridge and Howard at the start?

Roy Hibbert is 4th in the East in front-court voting so LeBron will probably be starting at Center in the All-Star game (even though they don't count having a Center anymore).

Wtf?! So you are saying there is a chance he could start for the all stars?

No, probably not. He's currently in 5th, he'd have to pass Griffin and he's about 100k behind him with only a few weeks left.

DeMarcus Cousins on NBA All-star game: "Some guys are all stars because their team is good. Thats not an all-star.”

I (only!) somewhat agree with him. When people like Duncan get in due to overall team success even when having a down year.

I do think it has to be a combination of both how well the player is doing individually and how much better he makes his team though so I can't full agree with the guy.

His teammates could read that and think oh, he's not an all-star because we suck. Lol, just proof the kid isnt mature enough to sit on the pine with Aldridge.

If he handled it like Aldridge did years ago, he would be talked about being such an All-star snub. But with this attitude, I doubt anyone will get behind him. He's such a douché!

Boogie deserves to make it. The dude is balling.

He was also doing his thing against the all stars for Olympic tryouts in 2012. But hes such a character he didn't make it on that team.
granted not really sure how his game would have translated to the EU game. But if hes really that good, probably should have made it over Davis to at least warm the bench.
But it didn't happen because of his attitude, like cousins would have accepted warming the bench. HA.

Suddenly LaMarcus is getting media coverage and it's about frickin' time. The best basketball minds in the world seem to think he's the best power forward on the planet...I happen to agree! LaMarcus has grown up...you can see it in his facial expressions, hear it in his voice, see it in his game! He's on a mission and we get to watch!

He's putting up great stats, but he's literally #1 in the NBA in USG at 33.3, and his team kind of stinks most nights.

For comparison, LeBron James is at 29.5, and Kevin Durant is at 31.1.

If I didn't know better, I'd say Cousins is playing for a max contract, and is a bit of a ballhog who doesn't make his team very good while putting up big numbers.

A bit like Kevin Love, but without the 'white guy' thing going for him.

Yeah he's improved for sure. He was already in the discussion for best PF before the season started. Now many are acknowledging he's flat out the best big man in the game.
