I think Leonard is at least 2 years away ... minimum.

well the more he plays IMO the faster that process is, we ain't goin nowhere this yr, I say trade Hickson if we can get some decent value back and play meyers a ton.

His problem is staying on the floor. Too much foul trouble.

I think I have made my stance on Leonard clear, but the only way we will ever know is to play him. Throw him out there and let him figure out the foul issues

What process? The guy is a natural power-forward, his reaction time/anticipation skills are below average for a defensive player. If we're not going anywhere then I do agree they should put Leonard out there as much as possible and try to develop him (if possible) but LA as a full-time center is just not a very good idea.

how many games has he fouled out this yr? and big deal - simply play him till he fouls out

I agree with you. Just sayin... I doubt he can even get up to 30 mins without fouling out. That problem will resolve itself, however.

Leonard has been out for a while and just came back.

On a related note in this thread, I want Lillard to play SG, because the current SG isn't as good as the PG, just like the current C isn't as good as LMA.

give him six foul every game. if he gets two quick ones, let him sit for 5 minutes. as MM points out, no reason to not play him more, if he is our future.

Are you referring to LMA or Leonard in your first half of the statement?

Phoenix Suns center Jermaine O'Neal and general manager Lance Blanks engaged in a blistering, expletive-laced confrontation in the coach's office on Monday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

"It was really bad," one Suns source said Tuesday afternoon.

I would gladly take Jerm off their hands. He has lost a few steps, but the dude can still block shots, rebound and score in the paint. He would be a much better replacement over freeland.

Feeland, Hickson, and Smith for Gortat and O'Neal works perfectly salary wise

They would need one of the two players (Jerm or Gortat) to play out this season. I think we could pry Gortat off their hands this summer though.

Only if we give them our 1st rounder (assume we have it) or agree to take Beasley back as well.

DMC, did someone say DMC?!

Dude the kid has talent, but he is a fucking head case man. He would have nothing but problems with Cansuckoff, Quick and the tight ass fans that demand quality characters on this team. It would be a fucking disaster and DMC would whine and bitch like a fucking baby through the process.

Sign and trade Hickson, our first rounder if we don't make the playoffs and maybe Babbitt?

And why would the Suns want Hickson? Gortat does everything they want (and better) from the center position. Him and Dragic also developed a rapport in the P&R.

Age maybe? If they get a first rounder, young pf hickson and shooter Babbitt who is still young.

Phoenix is way behind us in rebounding. They could waste a lot of good gortat years waiting for the rebuild.

The only reasons would be cap space and if Gortat asked to be traded

The cap space part doesn't fly. The Suns have Gortat for one more year at 7.7 M. A resigned Hickson will get at least that with more years on the contract.

when did they develop this P&R rapport?

I wasn't connecting the two, I was speaking in general terms
