He's not remotely available. The article claims he wanted out last summer. He's perfectly happy in SA now, and extended through 2021.

Give him 20 game, he'll change his mind (again).

This is the type of thread that should have a poll. Sly any way you can add a poll?

If San Antonio trades Kawhi (or even if they don't) I can see them wanting to move Aldridge.
If they DO move Leonard, it's rebuild time!
If they go all-out to convince Leonard to stay, then maybe they figure he'd be happier without Aldridge.

Now, a trade that makes sense to me is Aldridge for Love. But suppose they don't do that, I'd welcome him home. And it might even make Dame happier - I don't get the impression he was ever mad at Aldridge.

I don't want him. I want him to toil away on a shitty team that he thought was going to immortalize him in Texas history. This is one of the best examples of sports karma that I have ever seen. He has been seen as a bust. He has been a part of their downfall. I love it. Let him waste the rest of his career there.

Bust? He was All NBA 2nd Team last season and carried a sad sack supporting cast to playoffs. And Pop said he was one of the best players he's ever coached.

I don't see Lamarcus ever returning to Portland as a Blazer.....moved on

LA bitched his way out of Portland. I will never forget that. But, I like winning. He was All NBA second team last year for a reason. I also believe in and practice forgiveness. I would love watching him play with our current team.
I wonder if the Blazers have any type of counselor on the payroll. From Aldridge to Meyers Markle we have some people doing some irrational things. Being a 27 year old millionaire doesn't mean you have everything figured out.

If Aldridge could have seen himself from the outside maybe things would be different for him.

That being said, I get where he's coming from. I would welcome LaMarcus back for sure, but I have felt the same way as well. Enough that year to name my fantasy basketball team "Benedict Aldridge".

I would welcome LMA and have supported him on the Spurs - but I doubt he ever comes back. His legacy in Portland doesn't matter as much to him and he doesn't have the kind of 'foresight' Lebron has.

It's a shame because I do think the LMA-Dame Blazers (that were on pace to win 60+ games) with the additions of CJ, Nurk, Harkless, Davis, etc would've been enough to win one hard earned championship.

I would welcome him back. But, I'd make him understand that he needs to block out the
other team's big men so Dame could get all of the rebounds a la OKC. "You see, LMA,
we want Lillard to become the leading rebounder in blazers history...."

If Lamarcus returned I would like his first game back to be for the jersey retirement of #12...Rick Adelman!
