I'm in agreement. My opinion of LMA is pretty well documented. With that said, I do believe that he greatly improved on his elbow jumper this past season. But his "bread & butter" 18-footer pick-n-pop, from the top-left of the key has always been average. He shouldn't shoot that more than 2-3 times a game...and never in the 4th quarter, and it'd be far more beneficial if he stepped back to the 3-line for those pick-n-pops. If he's gonna be a softie he might as well try for an extra point.you will get no argument from me that he should post up more. I think I posted last year about how otherworldly his stats were when even 50% of his shots were inside 10 feet. But it didn't happen often.
I was just pointing out that letting him continue shooting 750 10-22 ft jumpers a year, hoping that his efficiency will increase, isn't a good plan, since he's been at 42.3 +/- 0.5% for the last 6 years. Taking 150 of those (he shot 250 19-22ft jumpers last year) out to the 3pt line and 250 of those to the low post would put him in the efficiency stratosphere
