I think they should go after Revis.
or wait for the eagles to cut nnamdi, or both!

You forgot Steve Bono![]()

It's better than nothing, future picks are always good and it gets his contract off the Seahawks books. I'd say it's a no brainer for them, now they can sign a guy that fits the Seahawks style for free off free agency to be the backup
Thought they would get a bit more, but picks are picks. They already have several picks this year so it does not bother me that the pick is 2014 and maybe 2015. Not a lot of dead money and I think they ultimately were going to trade flynn before guarantees kicked in anyway. Gives them about $3 mill more in cap so they can start extending players who will be here in 2014. Not a great deal, but probably the right move.flynn goes for a 5th...in 2014?
i thought they would get more than that hot pile for him, but i guess its better than nothing
i bet he enjoyed his 10 million or whatever they paid him to do absolutely nothing though

Excellent deal for the hawks.
Can you guys who've seen play give me the low down on this guy? Is he complete garbage?
Unless you read what some Hawks fans were expecting for him. They needed the cap room, and that's a lot for a backup. The picks they got........ are one step up from cutting him. You knew some team would be willing to give up something to have first crack at him. But Seattle really only received a step up from a used Kleenex. But they had to make a deal, and you knew they'd otherwise cut him. So getting anything, even if they are low picks that may not make the team was better than simply cutting him.
next years picks are worth shit, hence why you have to give up next years #1 to get a #2 from this year and so on
Keep in mind Seattle drafted Richard Sherman in the fifth round, value can be had.
Yeah, and there are a lot of guys who have made in the league as undrafted free agents. So, yeah, value can be had - I thought that was obvious and goes without saying. Every team has numerous late-round picks, UFA's, and what not. I just was saying I wouldn't be jumping up and down like some people. Some were suggesting mid-round picks for Flynn, despite that he's mostly unknown. As I said, at least they got something for him, as they probably would have cut him otherwise.
If it turns into an early 5th round pick then that is a mid-round pick. I consider 1st to 2nd early round picks, 3rd to 5th middle round picks, and 6th to 7th late round picks personaly.
What do the analysts say? I'd say 5th is late-middle round. Now, you're just getting into semantics, which is beyond my point or the intent of my original post on the matter. I'm saying they didn't get as high of picks as some were suggesting, say a 3rd or 4th plus.
Well sure if you want to start breaking middle round picks into early-middle, middle-middle, and late-middle then we are talking semantics. I have never heard a analyst say late round pick and mean early (to even mid or late) fifth round. That isn't to say it hasn't happened but I haven't heard it.
Great no risk move for the niners in signing nnamdi. dude is my favorite player. Low risk for them, the question is, is nnamdis heart in playing football anymore? Who knows, but if he can revert back to the man in the bay, area thats huge for the niners.
