Indianas coach was already named coach of the Eastern Conference All Stars (Spoelstra coached it last year, and no one else is within reach of the Pacers record).

The deadline is Feb 2nd, and the battle is, currently, between Portland and OKC. Doc Rivers has an outside chance at being the coach too.

Doc Rivers probably has the toughest road to winning the coaching spot.

For Stotts to win the coaching spot, the team HAS to win out imho. Or at most lose 1 game (not against OKC).

OKC has probably 3 tough games, but 2 are on the road. If they lose 2 of those 3 games, it gives Portland a slightly bigger window.

OKC has a cake schedule.

It's mostly against the leastern conference.

I see OKC losing two of those games. So we can lose 2 as well and still finish over them in percentage points right?

If Portland and OKC are tied, do they go with season series?

I don't think we can tie. We are going to have a game or two less then OKC has by the All-Star break.

Unless you mean tied in wins. In that case we would have better loss record.

So....never mind then

The players need to win this race for the gipper...coach Stotts. Treat it like a mini championship.

Sweep the Redneck Rhomboid!!

They will continue to be around .500 without Westbrook. I like our chances

I wouldn't discount WAS, SAC, and BKN simply because those teams are playing pretty well right now. Durant has had to go completely unconscious to win games right now.

Also, did anyone else see the interview after the game last night where Durant said that OKC is a defensive team?

Dude..... you just let them hang 121 on you.... how is that being a defensive team?

Pops and Spoelstra were the coaches last year. The head coaches from the previous year are not eligible for selection.

After hosting us, OKC basically has a 7-game road trip (2 separate road 3-in-4s, with 1 home game sandwiched in the middle). Over the span of just 11 days. That's going to be brutal. After we beat them, they'll lose to the Spurs, they're going to drop the game in Philly, lose to the Heat, and probably lose in Brooklyn too.

Just watch.
