No offense, but there is no chance of this succeeding this year.

Why?

Voting only selects the starters.

China is going to vote for Lin.

Lillard is having a great rookie season but he's not ready to be an ASG starter (or bench player)

He'll be playing in the AS Rookie/Sophomore game. Why does he need to play in 2 games? It's a long season. He could use a little time off that weekend.

if you vote for Lillard you're throwing your vote away...

...updated!

I was just teasing you. If people want to vote Lillard for the ASG I think it's great and will only show him what a basketball crazy city Portland is.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in from the Coach's vote.

it would be a monumental shock

as a rookie he will be likely be behind at LEAST kobe, paul, westbrook, parker, harden, mayo, & curry

unless he starts to be consistently spectacular, or at least 2 on that list cannot play he has no chance.

Ricky has played 1 game and is ahead of LILLARD
NO RESPECT MAN LILLARD GETS NO RESPECT IT'S BULLSHIT

You mean like when you say Rubio is the greatest guard in the nba?

hes not, hes at the bottom of the top 10

cp3
rondo
russ
dwill
nash
parker
kyrie

after that you can make the case for ricky. I can also argue for ricky over parker and nash, mostly because of defense.

As you seem to use current numbers and stats...

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics/_/position/pg

And look who is ahead of Rubio? Lillard?! Dang a rookie got scoreboard so far this season on Rubio. Shocker!

rubio doesnt qualify dumbass
heres his PER

Yeah I was looking at his numbers. Not very impressive actually. Any homer that puts stock in a player that shoots 20% from the field is showing their true homerism.

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/4011/ricky-rubio

Another silly stat. In Rubio's rookie season; his PER was 14.64. Comparing that to Lillard's of 17.62; we can put this silly argument to rest

PER doesnt give much props to defense
which ricky does at an elite level

Sounds like your "Elite" level comment requires some statistical proof. If you don't have any; then it didn't happen. Thanks for playing.

In the meantime; check out this amazing Analysis on Lillard as a rookie! A fucking rookie!

http://www.nba.com/advancedstats/player.html#Damian-Lillard|203081;year=201213;season=r

If only Minny had the 6th pick last summer. But if they did; they would probably botch it up again. Sucks to be a Minny fan.

we wouldve picked barnes, and use something besides PER for once  its an overrated stat  I dont just say that because of ricky, we have kevin love who PER favors very highly

Wow, looking at last season (Rookie Year); his clutch numbers are a joke.

If only he was as good as Lillard
