He almost topped out that vertical jump measuring tool. I know he has a pure stroke. So the physical gifts are nice to see. Obviously, if he's ready, this is the player the Blazers need most if they're keeping the pick. Don't see a lot of personnel in attendance in the pics. Could just be the angles.

Will i'm all in on the kid's personality. Very mature and i get a friendly nature vibe from him. I know he can hoop, but it's cool when players have a good soul. Very humble. Not standoffish.

I honestly think we're extremely lucky how intelligent and driven all the players sound who will potentially be there at 3. I really feel like we should not trade this pick. I think we will regret it.

Doesn't sound like Dame was there today.

Also, if we are going by interviews: Scoot >>>>> Miller. Scoot sounds like someone that loves basketball. Miller sounds like someone playing basketball because it will pay him will.

I don't know if it will be a mistake because the guys the Blazers would be going after are special too. They're just special now. You want to add special to Dame. He hasn't had that, talent wise since LaMarcus. CJ is a fine talent. Upper level, but not what i'd consider special, level wise. If Miller can be special now, and that's what's being discussed, then they will keep the pick. Magic, Bird, and Jordan were all, special, out the gate. Clyde needed development. Dame was special out the gate. Closing games out in his rookie year. Impressing the likes of Kobe. I like what little i've seen in Miller. But i also like what i've seen, and what's proven at the highest level , in Siakam & Bridges.

This is part of why everyone says Scoot has an it factor.

The counter to this is last year when Dalen Terry and Shaedon were at the same workout and Sharpe showed that he had the personality of a rock while Terry was uber enthusiastic. Didn't mean anything for their games or NBA success.

I don't get that at all. But i get how you can hear something different. I can't stand Michael Doodad. Even now. Ever since he said the classless take "thank God, i didn't go to Portland". I've been like F you Biotch ever since.

I've dreamed of the Blazers playing the Hornets in the Finals and beating them. Won't happen now cause MJ sold the team. But many here in Portland revere the dude.

Miller fits with Dame. I think he could start right away.

Scoot would be the heir apparent.

Yeah, I would prefer to keep either Scoot or Miller as well.
If it is Scoot then obviously Ant is on the move for a forward
If it is Miller, do we still move Ant? If so we would also need a backup PG.
Maybe Pritchard for #23 and the TPE?

Also he seems really coachable, talking about starting to take charges, acknowledging he needs to add strength, and says he cares more about defense than offense.

I like how he subtlety dropped, “I think I showed how consistent my shot is. It’s the same every time. Went at least 7/10 from all the spots”.

There are 4 videos by the way, you have to go to Twitter to see them (just for those that thought it was only this video).

If Dame wasn't there, that could be interpreted so many ways.

Maybe he doesn't think we're keeping the pick?

Maybe he doesn't like Miller?

Maybe he was busy?

Weird that he made it to all the others though (if he really wasn't there.)

I think Mays is better as a PG than Pritchard. Not just my take either. Mays has drawn comparisons to Fred Van Vleet. Pritchard, get's extra points, because he's a homeboy. He can shoot, for sure. But Boston obviously isn't that high on him. He hardly plays. Except when the Silly Puddle Group is called upon in blow outs.

It's a hard thing to measure or guess at but saying this is who the blazers take, what is the media circus, backlash, etc. going to be when a civil suit comes against him?

I'd be fine with either Scoot or Miller at this point. Really just hope we keep the pick to continue increasing our assets. Have to make a big move in the next 3-6 months, so anything helps.

Yeah I don't take too much stock in it. Mathurin had a killer attitude but Sharpe will 100% turn out better. Also young guys sometimes don't show their personality well through public interviews, but may be more approachable privately. I recall part of the reason we brought in Shaedon twice was because they weren't sure about his mentality.

But I don't know. I don't really like what I've seen from Miller. When asked why basketball he said it was based on a conversation he had with his family, and he begrudgingly gave up baseball and football. Not really what I'd like to hear but I digress.

I trust the FO on drafting though. If they think he's worth taking I will trust that, but I have a sinking suspicion that even if they kept this pick and Scoot wasn't available, they'd go for Amen Thompson over Brandon Miller.

Mays is still needed. We need 3 PGs

Or Cam Whitmore. He's 18 years old and built like a tank. Can stand in the corner on offense and be effective shooting or driving to the hoop.

I like players who have played multiple sports.

I just don't care for him going half speed in workout videos that his marketing team posts. Like that's the best he does? Hopefully the Blazers put up a better package like they've been doing with other prospects.

I guess he had mono after tourney and lost 13lbs.
I remember Bill Walton having Mono his senior year of HS and because he slept a lot he grew 6".

The fact that Kolde, Cronin and Dame aren't in any of the shots, tells me they're trying to give the illusion that they don't take Miller seriously.

Cronin is there. Schmitz is there. Oliva is there. All front and center.

This could also be a second workout. Shaedon came twice last yr but media only caught him once.
