We're not bad enough to land Simmons but we'll pick right around where Sabonis ought to be -- mid to late lotto. He could rise into the top-7ish if he keeps this up.

The numbers:

20.5 PPG | 10.5 RPG | 83 FG% | 46.8 PER | 3 games

He obviously wont keep these numbers up but he came back stronger and bigger -- 245 lbs.

14/15 season PER40: 18 PPG | 13 RPG | 68 TS% | 24.7 PER

He lacks length, severely actually, but he has a feel that you can't teach and a Joakim-like motor. I'm in the minority here on S2 - I really like Vonleh's upside but Sabonis is a better prospect.

If they are in it year after year then it is not working. What this tells me is that tanking to get high lottery picks is not a proven solution to rebuilding a franchise. So there is no reason to stop them from doing it.

I am not saying any other way works better, just that tanking is a far from proven strategy.

Well, it certainly doesn't help that they keep drafting guys that are hurt.

First it was Noel, then it was Embiid. Okafor is the first healthy player that they've drafted, and he's lighting it up. It looks like Embiid is going to be another Oden.
