Just another benefit of Las Vegas^^^^^^

When you build on flat open space you can lay the roads out evenly in a nice grid. Even when the freeway is somewhat backed up you can take surface streets everywhere.

Portland is pretty much exactly a grid, aside from a couple areas. I've always taken surface streets, but then again I have never lived in the suburbs.

Not even remotely similar. You can drive from the extreme west side of Las Vegas to the farthest east side in a straight line. Google map Portland and then do las vegas. Las vegas looks like a crossword puzzle.

Just what is the vision for the city at this point? I don't get it. Mini Seattle? Gridlock and lacking the infrastructure to support too many people?

This $150m office development is making quite the impact on this area.

This part of Portland is begging for an MLb stadium -- Terminal 1!

Took me 2 hours... 2 HOURS to drive from Catlin Gabel to my home in the Moreland area at around 3:30. Traffic is becoming an unforgiving biotch in this city.

Well since you can afford to send your kids to the most expensive school in the state , buy a teleporter? :D

Cracker-Ass-Crackers with their fancy ass private schools! And I'm supposed to feel sorry for them spending a few extra minutes in their Mercedes and BMWs!?

It's so much better and less pretentious.

Better? You gotta be kidding me. Healthcare and health outcomes SUCK in that city. People are unhealthy and the whole city is a fucking cess pool

I'm glad I moved my mother away from that waste dump.

Kaven Architecture's propsal for the PPO site:

This obviously wouldn't happen unless Amazon or another large company relocated their HQ.

But it's nice to dream!
Height restrictions would also have to be renegotiated. A lot of red tape to clear, but the city is going to have to start growing taller and become more dense. If built, it would be the tallest building in the Pacific northwest.

If they wanted Amazon they should have made it an A.

Or a P for Portland.

An O for Oregon would have been cool.

But an H?!?
