Nurk, Nas, Keon, plus #3 (Scoot) for Bridges and Claxton. It works.
It works if you hold the Broolyn GM at gun point

Scoot is not a very good defensive player lol. Too small to guard bigger players, and lack discipline to stay in front of guards consistently. He get the highlights but overall horrible defenderWent to a signing with Dame and Wall back in the day. Always thought a defensive guard like him could pair well. Blazers should suit Dame up for Scoots workout and see if the young kid could stop him, D is key.
The only person relevant in this thread is Scoot Henderson. The league has massively changed since Rose was an MVP. It has shifted drastically towards three point shooting.
Westbrook has been terrible for his teams since the league shifted.

the entire article is an interesting read. Whether or not the author is full of shit I don't know
I don't know how the guy got to Scoot shooting 34.5% on three's. Scoot shot 27% in g-league. Maybe he adjusted for the difference in distance of the 3-point line in the NCAA
I think he makes a somewhat valid point about the lack of defensive resistance Scoot faced.
accounting for Scoot's actual 3ptFG% + 2ptFG% lands Scoot as the worst shooter among all those guys, and again, this was against the weakest defense

If you think Scoot is going to be an ineffective NBA player, or mediocre, just say so.
If you think Scoot will be effective, then the comparisons with John Wall etc don't matter anyway.
Morant actually is a way better shooter than Scoot. He's bad.... but he's still way better than Scoot.Ja was still great with no jumper.
We don't know that Scoot won't improve his jumper either.
Shooting is very important for the team, but if the other players on the court can shoot having the player with the ball as a non shooter is fine. Think of Westbrook in his MVP seasons. He can just run around breaking down the defense with the threat of getting layups at the rim, and kicking to shooters for open 3's when the defense collapses.
The problem is when Westbrook or players like that are playing off the ball, such as being paired with LeBron/AD, whom are average shooters themselves. Then the entire offense has poor spacing and collapses.
Also Westbrook had an insanely poor basketball IQ and situational awareness. He would jack up horrific shots at the worst times in the 4th quarter or freeze out Durant. If you put a player with good IQ but the same questionable jumper in those spots he could've won titles.

Something else to consider.
Scoot - 6'9 wingspan
Rose - 6'8 wingspan
Wall - 6'9 wingspan
Russ - 6'7.75 wingspan
Morant - 6'7 wingspan
So he seems to have a decent wingspan. Not crazy though. Norm's wingspan at 6'3 was 6'11.
Yep and because of it Norm was asked to play SF for various teams. Scoot will not be asked.

What?!?!

Where is the confusion? You listed a bunch of PGs except Norm. I pointed out that his crazy wings span allowed teams to play him at SF. Although not the best position for him.
Scoot's mentor is literally Steph Curry. They workout together.
He's going to figure out his jump shot. Not worried at all about this. He's training with the greatest shooter of all time.
c'mon now....Evan Turner could have trained with Reggie Miller and Kyle Korver and he would have still been a bad shooter. Jordan Poole has spent years around Curry and Steve Kerr and he's under 34% for his career
sow's-ear--->silk-purse fails most of the time
True, but shooting is the easiest skill to acquire and most players improve. Marcus Smart used to be horrible. Gary Payton as well. There's no guarantee but I would take his physical profile and his strengths over others who might be available. For me, the dark horse is Amen Thompson. I know he played against inferior competition but his skill set, size and athleticism make him super high upside.
I wonder if anybody has even analyzed at what point below 40% a 3 point shot becomes a bad shot. It sure as hell isn't the eFG% formula
I'd estimate that threshold would be around 36%, no lower. It's will be a major challenge for Scoot to go from 27% to 36%. And without that threat, the impact his quickness and athleticism will be diminished significantly as players back away from him
That remains to be seen. Normally that is a problem.I wonder if anybody has even analyzed at what point below 40% a 3 point shot becomes a bad shot. It sure as hell isn't the eFG% formula

Say. No. To. Scoot.
I see a Jalen Brunson type level impact player. Maybe a more athletic Mike Conley with worse defense. What level do you think Scoot will reach as an NBA player?
Bad, below average, average, above average, way above average?
Even if I thought he would be above average or even way above average, it's pretty clear to me that elite players under 6'4 aren't the recipe to championships. What level do you think Scoot will reach as an NBA player?
Bad, below average, average, above average, way above average?
This is the thinking that had us pass on Chris Paul.Scoot would have to be an NBA legend for it to be worth drafting him.
