I hope we have the last meeting of the three; that would indicate he is leaning to us.

All the coverage out of Miami seems to indicate Whiteside won't be back there, which is good for everyone chasing him, including Portland.

Unfortunately I think the reverse is true if we dont because the situation will never be more prime to do so when you factor in the quality of our team, the competition, etc. Meaning if he doesnt choose the Blazers then it is very likely the Portland aspect and will likely never change.

Durant is also meeting with a ton of teams, many of which don't have a shot. Aldridge met with the Suns last year. Just getting a meeting doesn't mean anything.

With that said, maybe we wow him in our meeting.

Also when i saw that tweet my 1st reaction was Dang it but i have learned to never underestimate Olshey and his creative thinking and maneuvers to get players for the Blazers.

So Woj can look like hes wrong? lol stop it now we're just desperate for hope. Whiteside was never coming here. Horford too. Deep down we all knew this. Now its not over, we still have a shot at Howard. Hes not that bad to me I think Dame can lead him to change. I've always said Lillard is a great leader. With this market we have no shot at the big names and Whiteside is too much of a big name.

It's interesting that Howard is being talked about in 'less than max' offers like what Houston is throwing out there. @28M is a LOT even with the new cap. Add in the age, the passed team issues, etc, and I'm wondering if Portland would get him for a lower number since it is the 'years' he seems more interested in?
