The NBA seriously needs to investigate tampering. This is getting fucking ridiculous. Nobody has met with anyone yet and there's already rumors about where people are going?

I wanted to hit the lottery. That's the only way we get stars here. Olshey is great at spotting talent.

I just want ya to know that don't ever regret tanking Bc this successful season hasn't done anything.

I don't even blame the Blazers management either. They can't change the market and all the sudden give it fantastic nightlife or whatever hell these players want. But let this be a lesson during a pointless year when we know we won't win the championship to just tank it while our two stars are still relatively young.

In a way this is a good teaching moment and great example even IF WE HAVE a 2nd team all NBA player, another emerging star, made noise in the playoffs that we still won't get big time players.

It's all good maybe we can find those hidden gems to sign for a good deal

A 2nd team all NBA player and an emerging star all under 25 can't even draw us top players.

It's literally a better chance than signing top guys. Take this year as an example.

In a way I don't regret this past season anymore. I kinda wanted to see hey maybe if we do make noise in the playoffs dame and Cj have a great year maybe we get the top guys. Now I REALLY know

Since none of us have any inside info I'm not sure we can say for sure. All we can do is assume while Dallas may be "in the lead" we were mentioned as a team who will get a chance to meet and talk with him in which case maybe we can persuade him differently.

It all depends if Whiteside signs quickly or not. If he signs within a few hours after free agency starts, obviously no meeting. If we wake up and he hasn't signed with anyone, probably is a good sign we at least got a meeting and are being considered.

Dunno if I've posted this anywhere yet, but I just want to go on record saying I'm not sold that Whiteside is what we need. I'm not convinced he's a team player.

Not a team player? He shoots a really high percentage on few shots, saves his guards asses by blocking almost 4 shots a game and is an elite rebounder. I'm confused.

This is something I noticed this week when going through his stats. His season high in assists was 2.

He reached that mark 3 times in 73 games while playing 29 mpg. He even had a streak of 9 games without a single assist. Not a good look even if the team offense was wack

Man you are getting down so much nate. Just because Dallas is the frontrunner doesnt mean we still have an outside shot. Perhaps you are right no one has recently suggested portland is still getting the meeting, but no one, including woj, has said that whiteside had eliminated portland as consideration or for a meeting yet. Tbh you may have had your hopes to high anyway, we mostly know how free agency goes for us anyway.

When your offensive game is predicated on lobs and putbacks, how many assists do you want out of your big man. I'd say if he's shooting over 60% from the field it can't be much of an issue. Nit picking to say the least.
