Should we match Brooklyn's offer sheet for Allen Crabbe?

I like Crabbe and I'm happy for him but damn the Nets are such a crappy organization. What a ridiculous contract.

Coon #91 and #44 deal with this. Once he has signed the offer sheet, he cannot be S&T'd. If we match, he cannot be traded to BKN for a year.
There ya go then. So either we match, or let him go to BK.

No other team is going to touch that contract this summer

Damn I wish we would've traded up in the draft and found a way to get Buddy Hield. How amazing do NBA ready guys on rookie deals look now?

Hello Pat Connaughton!

Well richman was saying Connaughton has been the best player on the court in summer league practices so hopefully he's ready for a bigger role and makes a similar jump as Crabbe did.

Or how dumb is it not to load up on as many 2nd-rounders as you can get into competition? Crabbe's another addition to this list of 2nd rounders who got PAID.

Didn't Brooklyn signed Tyler Johnson for 4/50 mill? That's 130 millions tied up in starting and back up SG? Crazy..

Or Miami match that no that d wade is gone?

I said I would match up to 18 MIL. Well this is over that. You have to draw the line somewhere. I say let him go.* He wants to start and he isn't getting that here.

*Note: Unless someone is interested in sign and trade for him now instead.

To me the easy decision is let Crabbe go

He's not worth it and he won't be happy in a limited role

FWIW 2017 SF FA class is extremely weak. If we don't match we are looking at a long term group of Turner/Harkless/Layman.

I don't think a S&T can be negotiated once an offer sheet is signed.
It can if Nets agree to rip up offer sheet I believe. It was just done by the Bucks with Dellavedova who was going to sign with them but Cle traded him instead.

Lin-Crabbe-Lopez wins you about 30 games in the east. Guess that's what you do when you don't own your draft picks.
