I agree with MM that all of the tea leaves seem to be reading as a bigger deal coming soon. The Blazers have absolutely no need for the pieces they're getting from the Knicks. To me, what looks likely is that the Blazers have decided to let the T'Wolves have Batum. Sign and trade Batum to the T'Wolves in exchange for the two first round draft picks Bucher mentioned. Pass Jeffries & Gadzuric along to the T'Wolves in exchange for Derrick Williams. End up with Williams, two picks and a TPE equal to 50% of Nic's first year salary due to Base Year Compensation?

Agreed that this is probably what the deal is. And I like it.

It just dawned on me that Dwight Jaynes is a poor-man's Peter Vescey.

Jaynes invoking the "you're stupid to argue with a Hall of Fame Sportswriter" rule to tweeps.

Someone should tell Dwight that Vecsey hasn't been relevant since he was.

What annoys me about it is he seems all too giddy to retweet anything and everything negative said about the Blazers. He never made a peep(tweet) on Falk's comments about what a classy thing we did with Hibbert. Nothing.

Pizza delivery guy must have exceptional delivery range to be out in New York.

Do people really want D'antoni as our HC? He may have had a solid team in Phoenix, but he could never get over the hump. Thats the story of the Blazers though, I guess.

I do.

I think his offense would put the development of Lillard and Leonard on the fast track.

I think it would be fun. I don't know if it would result in an NBA title, but it would be worth drafting Blazers in fantasy leagues again, at least :)

I don't really know a BETTER choice, either, and if we look at our best players (Aldridge and Batum (for now), we are well-built to run the floor.

His brand of basketball would help keep butts in the seats as the team goes through inevitable growing pains for the next couple of years (hopefully just that), but I'm not a fan. It's all smoke and mirrors as far as I can tell.

I sorta hope Kahn has more game playin to do, I think Nic could tell him and his agent to F off

Did he keep butts in seats in NY?

So what is the big news?

Blazers match/don't match Batum?
