Aminu set to visit

That should get NeO GMoY honors if that happens. If it did, the window would seem to be open for quite a while.

The window may seem open, but it also me be a mirage. Just cause a young team wins 50+ games, doesn't mean they have a real chance at ever winning anything in the playoffs

True but I'd rather have a young team at 50 than not. It gives them a chance to get playoff experience and learn. Usually you have to go through playoff initiation in the Finals to win a title. The Warriors were the rare exception.

With the way he played in the playoffs, I think we are gonna be looking more towards the 6-7 million range. He went bonkers and we all know that one good playoff series has got plenty of people P A I D.

Hope it's not a complete aberration.

Exactly. He went nuts in the playoffs. Shot .548 from the field and .636 from '3' to go with 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.6 blocks in 30 minutes. Obviously that is a very small sample size but it shows at least a bit what he is capable of.

Aminu has been on my list as one of the more likely acquisitions this summer. If he wants to win, POR and NOP are the places he should look at. Having Neil as his first GM might give us a leg up.

He sounds like a similar player to Rondae, and isn't that much older, I'm in favor of it.
These are my thoughts exactly. Anyone who was happy with the selection of Jefferson should be similarly happy with the notion of Aminu.

Sure, but one was a million per year. If aminu gets $7 million per year, if he stays a defender with a broken jump shot, people should be less happy. In that case, if you could get dunleavy for $3 million or so, you'd rather do that

Regular stats were mediocre at best but he really came alive in the playoffs.

Sure, but Aminu has proven that he can contribute to an NBA team and do so from day one here, whereas RHJ was late first round pick with zero pro experience. Aminu already is what we hoped RHJ might be.

Yes please. Should have signed him last time he was available. I know a few of us wanted that

Nah...just deep in thought, plotting world domination!

I'm envious Mags. I keep hoping my kids are going to make me a grandpa some day!
Seriously though, she does look deep into your soul. Like stares at some life force that's deep in my skull. It's actually a little unnerving!

Figures that when the team looks to add defense, folk freak out about offense..a photo negative of seasons gone by. The MVP of the finals was never a good shooter throughout most of his career. Doug Christie of the old Kings couldn't shoot. You need defenders on the OTHER team's shooters. I just wonder if he's better than Alonzo Gee for the money.
