3/8 of our group has tested positive, including my wife who was very vigilant about wearing masks. I haven’t tasted positive yet but won’t be surprised if I do get it from my wife. Assume it is this new variant.

I was the last to get it in my family. It sucked for like a week but there were only 1-2 "hard" days. I've been sicker than this variant many years ago, but getting covid reaffirms my desire to wear masks. Don't want to get it again so willing to try to take as many precautions as possible.

The coolest thing we saw was at Glacier Bay. I brought my binoculars -- highly recommend you bring some if you go on an Alaskan cruise. As we are in the middle of the bay, looking at ice chunks floating in the water, I swear i see something swimming around. Must be an otter right? Maybe a harbor seal? I look through the binocs and this thing is huge. It's not an otter or a seal. It has paws! A brown bear or grizzly bear freaking doing the back stroke in the middle of the icy bay. It was crazy! Also saw a bald eagle perched on a large ice chunk. The wake from the boat made the eagle take flight right towards us.
