I just wanted to post in the single dumbest thread in the history of this website. I feel honored to have been a part of it.

I think the lefties love Maya Angelou, even she said something to the effect of "if you don't like something, change it"

This idea of this thread reminds me of a little kid getting mad and taking his ball and going home.

yeah, it was a sarcastic point. Trying to highlight the attitude differences between when Bush was going to war in iraq, and when obama is trying to pass health care. "It's unamerican to speak out against the war in iraq! these are terrorists!" "This health care is socialism! I want MY america back!"

Bush never said it was un-American to protest. He said the opposite, didn't he? Pelosi, on the other hand, says it is un-American to have your voice heard.

Nope, hoping we can make it through the rest of his one term without too much more damage. If this hasn't proven to people how stupid we were to let Bush and the Republicans spend us into debt, nothing will.

Why the fuck can't we just buy everyone a mansion and enough food for life and run the debt up to 900 trillion or 9 million trillion?

Actually, a lot of people on Fox said that the protesters (while they were nutty) were unpatriotic, Pelosi actually never said it was un-American to have your voice heard.

that is a bunch of BS, she clearly said it is unamerican to shout and yell at town hall meetings just to disrupt. that is not speaking your voice, that is making noise. I never said BUSH said it. Although they say stuff like "We don't the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud" and "the one choice we don't have is to do nothing" "doing nothing is no longer an option" that sounds like a lot of open discourse right?

Something to the effect of "either you are with us or against us." Taken literally it would be apt to assume he was calling these dissenters enemies of the state which could be interpretively defined as un-American..

How much of that money was borrowed from China? Which one of these stimulus chunks they are handing out creates manufacturing jobs?

Maybe they should just build more Starbucks with the stimulus money and EVERY FUCKING JOB in this country can be another service job. Somehow we will borrow enough money to pay you to serve me coffee which I bought with money my job paid me by borrowing from China.

Maybe every job will be a nursing job, nurses are quite valuable. You just can't pay them if nobody else makes anything to sell to the rest of the world.

Did you know that Vise Grips are being made in China now? One of the last three tool plants in this country closed so that what was once a great tool can be made cheaper and then SHIPPPED here and probably be sold for the same amount, only they can make more profit.

All these lefties want to share the wealth, how about they create just a LITTLE wealth here to be shared?

I thank God that my girlfriend is a good hairdresser. When none of you have jobs, my girlfriend will still be able to get your wife to trade milk or sugar or medicine to us just so she can look pretty.

If the two were even on the same level it might help. The end cost of the Iraq war alone could have paid for healthcare for every American for the next 10 years. :dunno:

Oh and the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 might also factor in.

How do you get the Spanish accents and punctuation? Every time I want to respond in Spanish, I always have to leave things like tildas and upside down question marks and exclamation points off.
