Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson compared his team to a pack of wild dogs after a 59-28 win against the Washington Redskins on Monday night.
Jackson had a pregame altercation with Redskins S LaRon Landry that he said had given the Eagles extra motivation in a game where they would take a 35-0 lead.
"The pregame altercation got us going. It had us ready. We came back into the locker room pumped," Jackson said, via the AP.
"We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage."
The comment will bring scrutiny because of Eagles' QB Michael Vick's history as a felon.
Vick pleaded guilty to a role in a federal dogfighting crime in 2007 and served a 20-month sentence. He was out of the NFL for two seasons.
Vick has since renounced dogfighting. Since his release in July 2009, Vick has been working with the Humane Society to raise awareness about the evils of the blood sport.
