:sigh:

Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson compared his team to a pack of wild dogs after a 59-28 win against the Washington Redskins on Monday night.

Jackson had a pregame altercation with Redskins S LaRon Landry that he said had given the Eagles extra motivation in a game where they would take a 35-0 lead.

"The pregame altercation got us going. It had us ready. We came back into the locker room pumped," Jackson said, via the AP.

"We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage."
The comment will bring scrutiny because of Eagles' QB Michael Vick's history as a felon.

Vick pleaded guilty to a role in a federal dogfighting crime in 2007 and served a 20-month sentence. He was out of the NFL for two seasons.

Vick has since renounced dogfighting. Since his release in July 2009, Vick has been working with the Humane Society to raise awareness about the evils of the blood sport.

EDIT - *DeSean ... I forgot about his Irish roots.

That's just silly.

Now if he was saying they whipped the Redskins like a bunch of dogs, I could see the uproar

Like his teammate, he's a brain-dead moron.

What, because some guy fought some pitbulls and apparently electrocuted them and killed them you can't speak freely about how you whooped the other team's monkey asses?

JACKSON SHOULD BE BANNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't watched much SportsCenter type crap today. Will this be like the time during World Cup '06 that they launched into Eddie Johnson for making a war reference while the US was staying at the Army base in Germany...then introduced the next match by looking at the teams "prepared to go into battle"?

Also, wouldn't it be more accurate to say that the Redskins played like pitbulls as Michael Vick pretty much kicked the shit out of them last night?

I don't give a shit about what Jackson said, he's just a football player, but I'm going to guess that the fewer public pitbull references that Vick hears from his teammates, the better for him in rehabbing his image.

Well, not really, because pitbulls have been known to destroy people, and Mike Vick's behavior was more the exception than talking about pitbulls attacking someone.
