Analyst: $499 80GB PS3 by year's end

According to Sony they will be dropping the price of the 80GB PS3 to $499 by year's end, And my prediction is that the 60GB PS3 will probaly drop to $399, Well thats good news to me because the only system Im buying next is PS3 and the game Im buying is Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTAIV God I cant wait!!!!!!!!! </p>

employee #5 I would never get an 360 EVER, Well my cousin bought one and every single time it would break......and for GTAIV I would rather get it on PS3 because I will be playing it for a long time and on PS3 the system will rarly heat up UNLIKE THE 360 WHICH DOES HEAT UP FAST. plus PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 4,Gran Turismo 5 (The most realist driving game in the world), Tekken 6,Jak And Daxter The Lost Frontier,Ratchet And Clank Future Tools Of Destruction, and many more on the way, and I personally think that 360 games suck. </p>

Yeah, you do know that they had to delay GTAIV because they couldn't get it ro run properly on the PS3? I think, like most games that have been multiplatform, that GTAIV will run much worse on PS3 than compared to on 360.</p>

In addition, if GTA is one of the main reasons your buying a next gen system, the 360 version will be about 40 hours longer than the PS3 version with the EC.</p>

I'm not planning to get a PS3, even with the price-drop. I'm happy with my fully functional 360, it's all I need. GTAIV is coming to Xbox, and I even heard rumors, that the makers of MGS, want it to be expanded to the 360. So, no point for me. I'm fine with playing Bioshock right now.

LOL @ Metal Gear Solid 4 being for Xbox 360, I was just reading some info about "MGS4 being for 360" and it says that random people were talking about that Konami would not release it for 360........ but that the people would like it if it was released for 360, thats all they were saying, Plus don't you xbox lovers have "Halo" lol </p>

MGS4 for 360 is probably bad hearsay, so I'm not getting excited about it. I do love Solid Snake though, kickass character. On another note, I hate Halo, I can't believe gamers actually enjoy that game. I couldn't get into it, at all.

Ugh, to hell with the PoS3. It's nothing but trash at the moment. Any worthwhile game that comes out on it also comes out on the 360, which is currently the superior system. </p>

And btw, to whomever said the PS3 doesn't overheat, are you talking about the same PS3 I know of? My friend bought one a couple months ago and returned it the next day because of overheating problems. For that matter, he said that it got so hot it was nearly untouchable, and this was just after a couple of hours of playing time. </p>

I personally own a 360 and mine hardly ever overheats. It's done so once, but that was my stupidity cause I had it set up in a place where it got next to no ventilation. Since I moved it, I haven't had those issues at all. It actually stays relatively cool. </p>

Plus, the 360 still has the far superior games. Bioshock is by far the best game of the new generation of systems. The game is simply incredible. Not only that, but what will be a PS3 sales killer and 360 sales booster in Halo 3 is due in just over 2 weeks. I fully expect that game to absolutely crush all sales records, and come holiday time, to outsell the entire PS3 library. Beyond that though, the 360 is also getting Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and a whole slew of other games come the holiday season. </p>

I might contemplate buying a PS3 here in a year or so. But right now, it's not worth it. All it's good games are on the 360, and even then, the 360 gets games that are far better than anything the PS3 has to offer. If you don't believe, play Bioshock, and you'll understand. It is hands down the best game of the year and better than anything the PS3 has out now and has coming out in the near future. </p>

I'm telling you man you really shouldn't get excited at all, because theres no way that MGS4 will ever be for 360,and yeah Halo does suck, I just really cant get in to any of the 360 games you know? I just cant... there way to fake,childish,boring, and not exciting I mean come on what kind of a name is "Xbox 360" PS3 just really gets into me I just freaking love it, the name PLAYSTATION 3 gives me the chills. I hate to break this, but most all games released are fake. Look at Mario? Completely unrealistic, yet it's one of the best and most successful franchises ever. The Zelda franchise. Yet again, unrealistic, but amazing and highly successful. The Halo series. Again, unrealistic yet successful. In general, realism isn't a staple in most games. Sure, you'll have games like Splinter Cell, which do offer quite a bit of realism. But those are a dime a dozen. Most great games aren't set in a realistic tone. If you're looking for realism in games, you must not play too many, cause most of them are fake and unrealistic. I honestly feel sorry for you if you are like that too, cause you'd miss out on a LOT of great games (Bioshock, God of War, Zelda, etc.).</p>

Now, I also realize I could be misinterpreting what you're saying, so don't jump all over me for that. It's just the way you said makes it seem like the only games you're into are essentially sports games, along with a few action/adventure titles scattered here and there.</p>

And God of War came from where????? and yeah God of War 3 for PS3 will own Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. </p>
