Congratulations on finding a few idiots in a country of 310MM people. Again, how do you know they're Republicans? "Common sense" is a weak answer. Robert Byrd was a Kleagle, and we was no member of the GOP.

Your response to his comment, by bringing up Robert Byrd, is probably the weakest answer/response one could do.

if your best response is that someone, over 60 years ago, was a member of the Klan, thats not the strongest argument one could make.

now, if he had been one oooh, in the 80's or 90's, sure. Or he was David Duke or something (who initially was a Democrat, but ended up being a Republican and won an election).

How do you know it's Republicans that don't like Obama because he's half-black? How do we know they're not Independents or Democrats? The answer is you don't.

How do you know it's exclusively Democrats and Independents and no republicans. If you want to be pedantic, my statement is still true.

I just love the worldview you have where color and race mean nothing in anyone's motivations. It's a world I wish we lived in, but sadly don't. Perhaps YOUR motivations towards hating Obama aren't racially motivated, but saying that everyone's isn't is just foolish.

I'm not saying there aren't people against Obama because he's black. I'm sure there is. Just like I'm sure there were a lot of people that hated on Regan because they thought he was a hick.

I think there probably are some Republicans. You'll note that I didn't say there were no registered Republicans in this racist sample, just that they weren't all Republicans. In fact, someone posted a poll that showed something like 5% wouldn't vote for a black person for President. My point is that to assume: a) that if you voted against Barack Obama, you're racist; b) that if you oppose his policies, you're racist; and c) that a) and b) make you a Republican is ridiculous.

FWIW, Chris is correct with regard to racism vs Obama. I hear it, see it, deal with it first hand often. To think that the few right leaning (bending) friends I have are the only ones that try to veil their distaste for Obama as anything more than racially motivated would be stupid on my part. The racism in the Tea Party and in parts of the Republican party certainly and obviously exists. And it's disgusting. Not disgusting because he's actually black, but disgusting because it's so desperate and lacks any semblance of creativity or originality. I was once a registered Republican. I cannot associate with them, or the Dem's, ever again. They're all sick. And none of them are interested in unity and understanding which is the only hope we have. Fuck it. Keep fighting to "be right" - It's all that matters to American's these days.

You might want to regroup and try this one again, because it comes across as complete nonsense.

i wonder why he didnt win as a racist democrat? :MARIS61:

I'm not as sure it was well known he was a racist when he ran as a Democrat. Wasn't he a 90's persona?

I can't stop laughing at your comment. Laughing in a funny way, not a mocking way. I read my words and they make sense to me. But I certainly can see how my ramblings can be a tad confusing and/or chaotic.
