ALL STAR BREAK has arrived - let's take a look.
Yanks currently tied for 3rd best record in the league with the Angels.
Division standings at the break.
East- Yanks
Central - Royals
West- Angels
Yanks' record 48-40, good enough to be leading or tied for two of the three divisions and actually they took the season series from the Angels which kinda puts the Yanks ahead of THEM...lol....
...and trail the Royals by 5 games who the Yanks also took the season series 4-2.
The total W% of the rest of the A.L East teams from 2nd to last is .493
The total W% for the rest of the Central teams from 2nd to last is .501
The total W% for the rest of the West teams from 2nd to last is ..481
And the Yanks have taken the season series from the other two current Division leaders.
Leads me to three questions, and input is always welcomed....even if I expect the usual theme from some contributors. All aboard!
1) Just how "bad, or "mediocre" or "questionable" are the Yanks in comparison to THE LEAGUE and OTHER division leaders?
2) Are the Yanks NOT one of the best teams in THIS league as we speak?
3) How "weak" or "mediocre" in relation to those other divisions is the A.L East after looking at the FACTS and figures I've given.
I guess there's always room to CHERRY PICK for those attempting to refute or depreciate bottom line stats.
