I bought Blazervision and probably shouldn't have, but oh well. I will just watch Knicks games on HD replay the day after and see how far they can go.

I'll probably check the box score and blazers news on Google, but I can't watch these games anymore. It's sad, especially after that little streak of great games and excitement that whipped the fans into a frenzy and made them love the team and effort, albeit briefly.

Fuck tanking, fuck phoned-in, phony performances. You can't fool me, team. They say players don't tank, but the problem is, they kinda do if they aren't coached and managed and told to win. They need a coach who gets after them consistently and cusses them out for losing and says winning is the only option. They need Martin Kove from Karate Kid to say, "mercy is for the weak!", they need to sweep the leg and no, I don't mean play dirty, but just with an attitude of winning is the only option and every game counts like their reputation is on the line.

because finding a specific post weeks ago is not easy here and it had complaints and might have been deleted or modified.

And frankly i don't care enough to waste that time for you when i know you will spin it into something else.

it takes two to tango & I don't think their "big 3" hold much reason to trade for. They all make big money, aren't coming close to providing the on court value for what they're paid & we are in an era where teams are hamstrung for having bad contracts via salary cap tiers. If Cronin is able to trade any of them, I'd expect the same sort of overpriced/underperforming value coming back. I'm all for Cronin pulling a magic bunny trade out of his hat where real value comes back, but I'm more hopeful he makes the most of actual opportunities to add talent like the draft.

Next season both Ant and Ayton are expiring deals and should be easier to move but maybe the smarter play is to have them come off the Blazers cap. Regardless, I and others will be watching despite what you're telling us what we should do

Thats fine if we just have similar worthless vets coming back in a trade. Its a real thing that Grant/Ayton/Ant were brought in or resigned here as starters so they expect that role. Any mediocre veteran we acquire can be put in a clear bench role and that will be fine, tell their agent the day of the trade we're happy to flip them elsewhere if they can find a deal.

If they have a similar contract (seems likely) then next summer that acquired player can still be flipped exactly the same as you note would be possible for Ant/Ayton.

If its a worse contract coming back perhaps the Blazers can get some draft compensation (great move too).

Standing pat the next two months is the one path that is extremely disappointing for many fans both short term and long term.

Did you imagine you were being encouraged to ask for a refund? I took the post you referenced above as a statement directed at the product on the floor and the lack of direction from the front office. I didn't see it as any sort of attack on season ticket holders.

Once again, I would suggest that you not take it too personally. If you enjoy going to games keep going. Enjoy the games. I really don't think anybody is going to seriously fault you for it.

I still wouldn't take it seriously enough to get upset if I were you.

Look, when i called him out on the post, he had an opportunity to clarify it and did not. That is enough for me to think what i think. And his not clarifying overrides what you think he meant.

Strenn is belittling, condescending, rude, and repetitive to everybody that doesn't agree exactly with his random thought. So no I don't view that or other of his posts as singling out season ticket holders or disrespecting fans rooting for wins as it seems @SharpeScooterShooter felt. Strenn does that to everybody.

However Strenn should be someone SharpeScooter and others can ignore. It sucks when we are all forced to read his posts since he's a mod. I'm glad I don't have to view his posts in game threads lately since he stopped posting there. However I would prefer he be able to post whatever he wants as that seems cruel not to let him post, but it should be on an account users all have the ability to set to ignore. So really his mod powers need to be removed or he needs a separate non posting mod account or some solution.

I must be searching differently or possibly you have more advanced searching? I only know to go to post history and sift through pages of posts.

But yes. Since he did not respond or clarify then I think its totally fair to come to a conclusion. He had an opportunity to clarify and he didnt.
If i did that, everyone would assume the same.

TBH im kinda the same - in recent years this is the least effort ive made an effort to watch Blazer games.
there's nobody on the team that i really find interest in as well, last person was Josh Hart.

Kings tanked 15 years in a row. Only star they got was Cousins. Tyreke Evans won ROTY but disappointed after that. Also- they took Bagley instead of Luka. Also didn’t Sixers tank at least 4 years? Got them an MVP.
