Ryan Anderson's line : 13pts, 4 boards, 1 assist, 2 steals in 26 minutes. Not a bad bounce back game for the rookie. He also shot 6 for 8.

2 terrible games and counting!!!:lol::lol:

Wow. Am I am supposed to be impressed??????????????? The Nets got spanked by a team that was 4-6 in it's last 10 including a loss to those powerhouses, the Bobcats. You know those NBA championship contending Bobcats.:lol::lol:

16/8 or bust bro. :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yep get in your EXCUSES early. KG was plus 4 on his scoring average last night. I still remember fans here ripping Yi for allowing Amare to DOMINATE while scoring 15 points, which was about 8 points below his scoring average at the time.

Actually I am impressed by Anderson. I really believe he is going to be the greatest power forward we'll ever see since you love him so much.:lol::lol:

u guys are cracking me up. yup. RA for president...

and three good defensive games for ryan, but we can't count that for Yi since he doesn't play any...

When did he have 3 good defensive games? Opposing PFs have put up a lot of points against him...

common sense would say that, Anderson couldn't out play Yi in practice, he's not going to out play Yi in games. Unless you all think it was a ploy to keep the white boy down?

Ryan's defense is average, his rebounding is average, his dribbling is average. He has no post up game, he doesn't run back on transition defense.

Worse of all Ryan's outside shot has been inconsistent. I see the arch of this shot changes from shot to shot, this is why his % were down. Probably his shot is naturally flat, he's working on rising it so he can shot over people. Right now he can't.

Ryan has a lot more chances, let's see how he handles it. Basically, he's a slow tall guy that has problems shooting over defenders. He does have a quick release. However, low and flat for now.

IMHO, Anderson is a guy whose high energy and enthusiasm far outweighs his actual talent. He's good off the bench because he provides a bit of a spark. But I can't see the Nets running the offense thru Anderson the way they did with Yi when Harris was out and Carter was struggling...

Time for Anderson to start producing. He has been given EVERY opportunity by Franks and has had even more leeway than Yi to stay on the court even when he sucks. So it's just time for Anderson to start producing like the superstar most Nets fans think he is.

Ryan another free pass tonight? I hear there is a new NBA rule, if you lose vs a team with a better record than you, it doesn't count.

I thought Ryan Anderson was a great addition to this distinguished young core?

One would expect a good game tonight. I thought Ryan would break 25 points, doesn't look like it's happening. Maybe next game, he has a few weeks left. Unless Najera out plays him.

He played against Grizzlies. Surprised he didn't go off against us.

Does last night count towards his total of good defensive games? And does Oklahoma count as "tough competition"?

13 games into his starting role Ryan seems to be catching on. In the past week he has put 3 games of more than 16 pts and 8 boards. Plus he has one game of 21 pts from coming off the bench. Yi has stated recently now that his cast is off he should be back in 3 weeks or so. This should give Anderson another 13 games or so. If Ryan continues his progress he will have more good games than yi did in 35 starts.

Also once Yi gets back how long will it be before he regains his shooting touch since he will in effect be 2 full months without shooting? This should be an interesting question for the coaches.

3 good games out of 13 vs 6 good games out of 35. What will coach frank do??

I think strategically in terms of Yi's Confidence and his Ego, the hand(pinkie) is a great excuse to bring him in off the bench for a while. It would probably be best for the team as a whole. This is all contingent on Ryan continuing to have solid to good games starting at the 4. Who knows, at one point, if Ryan's defense continues to improve, you might see him slide to the 3 and put Yi back at the 4 for a very big/shooter's lineup. Hmmm....

the 3 would be tough cause he ain't that fast. I'd like to see swat turn into a defensive 3 stopper, but i don't think RA could keep up with them or Yi for that matter. Now if they were playing zone thats another story...
