Portland and Cleveland are in talks to send Varejao to Portland

Because we would be paid a 1st-round pick to take his contract. Then Cleveland can afford a trade for Channing Frye...who loves Portland but couldn't get any minutes because Aldridge was here. Is history just a grand circle?

Varejao’s deal includes two years and nearly $19 million guaranteed. The Cavaliers are searching out teams with space, such as Philadelphia and Portland, which could take on Varejao’s contract as part of a three-team trade, league sources said. Those teams would likely be compensated with draft considerations and cash to take on Varejao. For this reason, the Cavaliers won’t take on Frye without finding a home for Varejao’s deal

Is this coming from the sources that flip flop every minute on Twitter? Only way I see this happening is with #1s from Boston and Love going to the Celtics.

Didn't we get Sasha Pavlovic from Boston years ago and the deal include them paying his salary?

Old news? This was floated by someone assuming we would be involved since we have so much space available.

Is there anything new to report? If so put the tweet here

It would have to be a great pick ...Andy V is owed 19 mil over a couple years I think. That's a price to pay for a pick.

Well, I guess we should get him quickly for a 1st to trade him again at the deadline.

There is a massive thread where this very thing is being discussed. Nothing new here. Can you guys start merging threads? The repetitive threads are getting annoying

I'm just waiting for actual news, none of the "Talks with". Basically just waiting for Woj tweets saying that there's a trade.

At the top right hand corner of each thread page is a button to ignore the thread...you can erase any thread and just choose the one you like

I can imagine him as Pam Greer's body guard or Shaft's undercover guy in Columbia

I think he's paid 9.75 mil next yr and with the new stretch provision you could make it 3.25 mil over the ext 3 yrs, so that's the cost for a 2018 ist rdr - not too bad I think

If it's the Cavs pick no thanks. High second rounders seem to have more value than picks 25-30.

And Andy would cut into cap space next year
I think it would be a 2018 pick, Lebron will be 34 at least, they could be in decline and they are still now in salary cap hell, might be worth the risk?

They still have Kyrie and Thompson locked in. And whatever they will get for love. I think LeBron will be studly into his late 30's.
