...do you recall what was the very first musical recording you ever bought with your OWN money? (record or cassette or CD)
...I remember mine vividly...after seeing this American Bandstand show I talked Mom into buying me this 45 rpm from a J C Penney store while she was buying me school clothes. (I think it was about $.40 back then) I played it over and over and over on a record player someone had given me...and I quickly became forever hooked on music.
...but as far as using my own money, I also remember it clearly...after wearing out the grooves on Maybelline, I scraped up enough allowance, and Coke bottles to allow me to buy this hot tune at the time;
...I also remember playing the "flip side" occasionally... ("Don'y Worry Baby")
