OT Another one bites the dust - Flynn to plead guilty

I know nothing of this story and honestly don’t care because it seems people care about trump these days more than their own lives. I could care less about trump but I do find it kind of ironic that the conservatives are indeed the ones with well thought out sentences and words here while the “we hate trump, punch a nazi” crowd here gets quite emotional. Not saying the conservative side is right but at least they aren’t responding ridiculously even though their bias shows

This is all tertiary at this point. Of more importance, is whether or not you have developed any special powers or had anything mysterious happen. Your last update was post-flossing, I believe. I can't eat, until I find out. My stomach is an empty cavernous void, electric with anxiety and anticipation.

Read this article.

Mysterious deaths, engineered by State Dept. honchos to control the inherited wealth of an 8-year-old...much better than I expected.

maybe this story is worth reading about. its not the tabloid style Trump pees on women story, its at the root of what it is to abuse power. 4 trump officials now indicted and two have plead guilty. Honestly, regardless of your political leanings, this is important information that could affect the future of America. I liken it to the Nixon Watergate scandal. We will see if it goes to the top like that did, but so far it certainly goes one row down. If you choose to be uninformed thats your choice, but I think its irresponsible.

Don't laugh, but I don't follow politics whatsoever, unless somebody we know is running for an office or position here locally. That said, I have no idea who this guy is and what happen. Anybody are to take a minute to give me the Cliffs Notes version.

I was gonna make something up but I'm getting tired.

Flynn was a 3 star general. He was appointed Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under Obama. As head of the DIA he warned all American agencies about a certain Russian software company that was part of a spy wing for the Russian government. He also knew a lot about foreign affairs in that position. In 2014 Obama fired him. He immediately went to companies like that previously mentioned software company and worked for them, and several other Russian and Turkish agencies. Then he started working for the Trump campaign. After Trump was elected Flynn was appointed National Security Advisor even after Obama and the FBI warned Trump that he was a bad guy.

Less than a week into Flynn's new position Trump was warned by Sally Yates, the acting Attorney General that Flynn had lied about working for foreign countries and other secrets that led Yates to believe that Flynn was corruptible if not already corrupted. Trump fired Yates, not Flynn. two weeks later the news leaked about Flynn and the Yates warning and so once public, Trump had to fire Flynn too.

Since then it became known that flynn was heavily on the Turkish payroll and receiving money from Russian companies too. According to some leaks, it is believed that Flynn and his son were even hired for 15,000,000 by the Turkish government to kidnap someone in America and send him to Turkey although that never ended up happening. Flynn had to retroactively file that he was an agent of foreign countries even though he did not do that when getting his job as National Security Advisor under Trump, so he lied on those original papers. He also lied to the FBI during their investigations about Russia hacking and election manipulation.

Today Flynn plead guilty to lying to the FBI. This was part of a plea deal. It is believed by some that Flynn has intimate knowledge of the nefarious meddling Russia did in the US elections. Many think he might have information about Trump colluding with Russia. This is not proven yet. But for Mueller to accept this plea deal only makes sense if Flynn could be charged with much more serious crimes and that he had a bargaining chip of direct knowledge of impropriety or illegal activity by someone more senior than he was, so basically that Flynn would only be offered this sweetheart deal if he would flip on someone up the food chain. As National Security Advisor, there are only a few people higher up the food chain that Flynn would be in a position to flip on, like the President or Vice President.

EDIT: Missed a huge part. After Flynn was fired and then FBI director Comey was investigating Flynn along with other Russian/election issues, Trump asked Comey privately to not pursue Flynn. Comey did not stop. Comey was then fired.

Ok, that may have sounded like I'm rambling, sorry, thats as short as I can go on cliff notes.

God damn, you can’t make this shit up? And how do the Trump supporters feel about this? This is big!

I’m not taking a side, I have stated several times I don’t lean left or right. Yeah I will pass on researching this because to me it’s just more trump and I’m so fucking tired of hearing about trump

Okay I read this summary and it doesn’t even sound interesting to me. Politics as usual i sounds. They are all crooked. None of it surprises me. Now if there is concrete evidence I might start getting really interested

This does not mean there is a direct link to Trump, as I have heard locals say. It takes layers of deceit to be billionaire rich.

I think many of them just feel like they have been mocked so long by now that they will never budge regardless of any new information.

My cliff notes didn't even include the depth of what I believe happened, I tried to stick to the reported news facts and keep my more colored opinions out of that post.

During the campaign Trump made a joke that he could stand in the middle of 5th Ave and shoot someone but that his supporters are so loyal they wouldn't care. I think he was correct. Sad.

You are reading about the Manson Murders and saying I knew all people weren't nice.

You aren't one of them, especially in your lack of punctuation.

That's what my article about KT McFarland stealing custody of the rich 8-year-old, no relative of hers or her husband, is about.

I don't mean to be all logical in a Trump thread but Trump asking Flynn to contact the Russians AFTER the election kinda puts old Donny out of the crosshairs wouldn't you think?

He'd have no need to do that if they were already in contact. Oops

No, that's not logical (also you are responding to an incorrect bit of news as if it was correct).

Being in contact doesn't usually mean literally talking non-stop day and night. Unless you are already talking to them on the phone at that very moment, someone has to dial the phone to talk to them, no matter how many times you've talked before.

It’s all very fuzzy at the moment, I’m not certain about which set of facts are actually facts. I don’t know that this reaches Trump, and I don’t know if this precludes other things from also being true. I posted on this board before and after the election, posting after doesn’t meant I didn’t also post before.

What I do know is that there are several well known felonies that Flynn was not charged with and that the plea was very generous. This only makes sense if Mueller knows there are bigger fish and bigger crimes that need elucidation. Flynn was very high up. There are only a handful of people who Flynn could conceivably flip on that make sense. It might not be Trump, it might be Pence, Kushner or some other top ranking official but it’s someone and it’s certainly going to be hugely important. Hey, for those conservatives on here, there is a very outside chance it’s Obama.

You don’t seem to understand what politics is if you think this is politics as usual. These are felons in politics. Granted, most politicians will lie and tell their constituents what they think they need to and that’s distasteful. Flynn had planned to kidnap someone off American soil and ship them to a hostile foreign government. That’s not what Pelosi, Romney, McCain, Obama or just about any elected official does. It’s like comparing telling a woman at a bar she has s nice butt to child molestation.

What's incorrect? The incorrect part was the report that Flynn would say Trump had him contact Russia before the election. Then they corrected it to say that it was after.

I think at this point it just seems likely that if they were doing illegal stuff that Trump wanted plausible deniability.

And if this story is true, logically Flynn isn't saying anything that incriminates Trump. Trump could have been talking to Putin minutes or weeks prior but apparently Flynn ain't saying that.

When faced with the “checkmate” realization that they supported a criminal or criminal action, people generally use nihilism as a defense, trying to reduce the moral crimes which they tacitly support so they don’t have to admit they support actual criminals or criminal activities.

We don't know what Flynn is or isn't saying. You'll have to wait for the next episode.

Tune in again next month...

Was responding to the story. If we can't go by the articles we need to pretend it isn't happening until we have the ending. As I said right away...HUUURRRY UP.

I always wanna know the truth. If Donald is dirty....lock his old ass up. Same with Hillary or Obama or anyone else not past any statute of limitations.

Meanwhile, Donny Dumbass seems to have tweet-pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice this morning.

And to excuse it, they are claiming his attorney wrote the tweet. Hmm...

Not even a conservative. Good try though
