I am not an attorney nor do I work in law but an attorney clearly explained to me that freedom of speech is clearly the most understood part of the constitution. He said that freedom of speech only protects one from censorship from the government and not of others that also can practice freedom of speech on the same level. It actually opens the door for shaming to be allowed. This is why our government focuses so much effort, time, and energy on how to accomplish group-think.

I don't even care what people are arguing about but thought I would just contribute that part.

This is already being discussed in 2 other threads but this is what happened, Cmeese first posted that PapaG had sand in his vagina. I deleted the post and politely asked Cmeese to stop via PM. He replied back and pointed out that PapaG insulted him too. I told him I saw that (I had already deleted the insult) but that he still needed to stop with the personal insults. After that he decided to post that PapaG has aids. Nate saw the post, deleted it and gave him a 24hr suspension.

To be fair I never said PapaG has aids, I suggested his boredom was to blame for his monotony which is why half of his posts are complaints, his anxiety, which is why he gets so defensive when someone suggests a certain power forward jacking up 40%, 20ft jumpers is not the best shot the team can get, and an inappropriate work environment, which causes he to use condescending terms like big boy and stupidity in his posts. Lastly, I showed that depression is a common symptom in bored people and those with aids and that thanks to Obama Care he could and should get tested.

So while I was suspended technically for saying PapaG has Aids, I call bull crap on that, but I will accept that I was suspended for giving unsolicited medical advice and for saying PapaG should learn how to pound the sand in his vagina into a beautiful but disgusting window.

PapaG has self identified on this board that he is a man and therefore by claiming that he has a vagina let alone one full of sand is out of line. PapaG I want to personally apologize to you and your penis, additionally I understand it is foolish of me to offer unsolicited medical advice, which I found on the internet.

Your lucky Fraiser showed that a psychiatrist can be funny or you would be in line for a suspension provided you said something vulgar before hand.
 
To be fair I knew posting sand in vaginas might be over the top, which it was and got me warned I just never thought alluding to him possibly having aids was going to get me suspended, especially since it would have be a lot more deserving of suspension had it been done in the Collins thread.

I will just make sure and use the PM feature before posting things that could get me banned in the future.

So the "we" in your OP is pretty much, You, MM, and a couple of other problem children that can't seem to grasp the forum rules here?

Specifically:
9. We can't anticipate all of the things the staff may find unacceptable. Again, it is completely the discretion of SportsTwo staff to enforce any unwritten policies they deem fit, and you are expected to abide by these judgments.
11. We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.


Look guys, if you don't like the way they moderate, then leave the forum. (like some of you said you would do).

We like you, so you won't get edited. it's ok, it's in the rules. I know there is no personal attacks, but that guy kinda deserves it because he doesn't do exactly what we say....even though what we say can be changed by the second.

BTW, Problem Children is a personal attack. Just an FYI, and I will patiently wait for that to get edited or deleted

I find myself posting less and less here, I wouldn't be surprised if riverman left, and I won't be surprised when more leave. The constant bitching about the mods and constant attacks get old for those of us who just want to have playful banter and/or talk Blazers ball.

For the record, I would imagine sand in the vagina is a painful, irritating sensation (that could potentially lead to more serious issues). I wish that on no one.

As big a fan as I was of your posts back in the day, your posts now are full of nothing but bitching. I honestly have no clue why you continue to post here. You act like you're being held down, like you're being suppressed or oppressed. It's like, "Hey, I'm miserable. Misery loves company. Let's make everyone else miserable." Is something wrong? I'm asking because your posts were fun at one point.

Let's get back to the playful banter. Or find something better to do with our time. Starting to think numero uno is unlikely, so the latter is the more likely route I'll take. Damn, I guess I'll have to start working full days.

But the best antidote to trolling isn't banning trolls; it's not taking the bait. In other words, trolling can't be defeated by mods, only by posters.

I actually agree with all of this.

What happens is someone comes in to a conversation and unless everything they type is 100% positive they get attacked and called a troll because of previous trolls, causing those non troll huge Blazer fans to attack the over the top homer fans.

In fact, I never advocated banning Papa, and was as vocal as anyone else here saying we should bring him back. But the funny thing is that people troll, and then the people that respond end up with a suspension. I can understand why people get tired of this board. I'm starting to think this board is full of a bunch of cranky old men that are upset, bitter, or inferior in life and they troll others to get a rise and feel better about themselves.

Your not trolling its just your posts are like LA's jumpers they seem like a good idea, look good going up but ultimately they miss their mark 60% of the time and the board is worse off for it.

I dont think I've ever had a run in with you as a mod MM, so dont think I'm singling you out or anything.

But I dont view "Problem Children" as a personal attack. Just like I wouldnt view someone saying one is an "Angry Poster" or a "Lazy poster" just my opinion though.

No, not really. Especially since it wasn't meant as a dig. I was actually giving him props because he's admitted it before, and that he'll intentionally push buttons. It's mostly funny. Most of the people that come here to troll won't admit what they're doing (and some just have a personality where they're constantly trolling, so they cannot see and admit they're doing it).

That's not true. There are plenty of people who post things that could be perceived as "not 100% positive." Those people aren't slammed. Those people aren't banned or suspended or edited. Hell, I've posted plenty of things that could be construed as negative.

You have intentionally toed the line to prove a point. You've been on your own crusade for about a year now, and it's proven nothing and it's helped nothing. When does it end?
