That will never work. That's like asking the populace to police itself. It doesn't work in society and it won't work here because it always leads to the same thing.

Mob rule.

It's only a matter of time before people get fed up and grab their pitchforks. Nobody is going to ignore trolls. That's a nice idea, but it's not realistic. People always take the bait. Always. It's right there, it looks oh so tasty, and the people always take it.

If the mods ignored the trolls and let them run their course, people will eventually get fed up and start attacking that poster in every single thread that they post. We've seen it over and over and over.

Cmeese was given a 7 day suspension for continuing with not only the same behavior but saying the exact same things to the exact same person that got him his 1 day suspension.

For the record, this was poking fun at this initial thread where people were in uproar over cmeese's 1-day suspension (some thought it was a banning because it said "Banned User" under his name). :biglaugh:
 
Just want to say goodbye

So I was suspended a week for issuing an apology, I simply addressed what was written in the post that got me suspended and then apologized for it.

If then aforementioned post was so bad then why the fuck would it be acceptable for Nate to re-post the exact same words numerous times without edit?

For the record I do not believe PapaG has a vagina, sand in his vagina nor does he have aids that I am aware of. I already apologized to him for the post and will do so again. I am sorry PapaG.

Sly thank you for all the hard work you do for this forum, emailing the team, getting swag even if you steal half of it and the numerous other things you do thank you.

Nate I have no hard feelings over your decision, personally I think it is BS to get suspended for apologizing but your the moderator people voted for you, it is within your power to do what you feel is best for the site.

With that I am out of here, I will not be back on this site under this name or as cmeese47 for a long time. If I want to be told how to talk I will go to the Moda Center or find out what ever site Blazer Fanatic joined and have her tell me.

For those who care to find me after I leave you can add me on PSN as cmeese47 we can play some games and chat about the team.

No one is asking you to leave. You are welcome back in 7 days. If you do come back I suggest you put Papag on ignore and just focus posting about the team you love. Since you're not suppose to be posting here under any name I am banning this account and any others you make in the next 7 days.

Also I didn't steal anything and I even asked the Blazers if I could keep it. They didn't have a problem with it. Also with the tickets I've delivered or mailed out and the swag I'm going to pick up from the Blazers soon it's more along the lines of 5% of the swag I've kept, not 50%.

ive been on this site for a long time, i dont have the post count some do but i read a lot of what people say. all im going to say is this site has changed alot in the last couple years.. ppl that were staples on the site dont come around anymore. for example mags...
i dont know if its because people dont like taking heat for their opinions (i know sometimes people go overboard with criticism of somes opinions) but really the bans and suspensions and what not i feel like have skyrocketed. I really enjoy being apart of this forum but to one meaningless member(myself) of this forum....the hand has gotten very heavy....
in my early years i use to be very vulger towards other members like MIXUM and i understand he was a "troll" but some things I have said and others said to him are faaaaaaaar worse than some things that are being said these days. provoked or not....and i am just using mixum as an example because he's the one i remember the best. but this place use to have a lot more freedom.
