It used to be fairly good... but a lot of posters have turned away from actual substantive discussion to bang their drums and become "personalities". And really, why bother with substantive posts when a meme is so much easier to repeat?
LaMarshmallow, McScribbles, kpee, Blazers to Seattle, learn the game then post, checkmate, BeerBoy's wife, HCP's wife, Roy hates America and doesn't put forth an effort, too much on-ball domination, Bayless has short arms, Oden's a bust, Outlaw sucks, Blake sucks, Andre is moody, Cho talks funny and will never make a trade.
There's more, but really, we could simulate most of the content on the forum by running a script that associates one of these memes with a user, and simply posts pre-written screeds at random, with random posts saying, "Who cares? [my meme text here]" as responses.
Nobody is talking *to* each other; it's more like 100 blogs shuffled together in loosely associated threads. We're talking *at* each other, hitting each other with our respective hammers until everyone else shuts up.
I see now that MIXUM is just another guy with a hammer.
