1.) How do you know he's never offered CJ?
2.) How the hell do you know that it wasn't Paul Allen being unwilling to trade C.J. for a possible 1-year rental?
3.) No, we can't automatically beat every other teams offer every single time.
4.) C.J. might not even be the best player being offered. Beal is a possibility in a 3-team trade.
5.) A legitimate source has came out and publically said that they've put C.J. on the table in an AD trade.

You're talking with much more certainty on this situation than I am, which makes it funny that you're trying to claim I'm the one acting like the "expert". I guess you base that off of me doing some research to corroborate someone else's report... You're purely speculating with no information and giving me crap for doing research to corroborate a report.

Today was my daughter’s last day of middle school, I took her and her 2 best friends out for ice cream.
 
My (speculative) belief is that Olshey is not afraid to make big moves; his problem is that he wants to make another deal like the Chris Paul deal, where he didn't really give up that much to get a great player. He doesn't seem to offer quite enough. Let's hope he doesn't overcompensate some time in the future.

Contrary to the thoughts of people here, Olshey is a professional. That means he would never let it be known he was making CJ available. So,
posters will insist he's gutless, but the truth is we'll never know.

Look at the shitshow that is the unprofessionalism of the Lakers. Everyone on the team feels betrayed.

We're Portland. We're not getting AD. I love the city of Portland so much, but we do not get people like AD unless we draft them.

I'd give up CJ for AD. Also multiple first round draft picks and we eat a worse contract.

I wouldn't give up Nurk, Collins, or Simon's in addition to the above. We love both young guys but they don't hold the value to other teams as they do to us. It's critical we have some youth and low priced contracts along with our stars. CJ is better than any player the Lakers or Boston is offering so I think we may be able to get that deal done without including those.

If you get AD you go all in for this season so i don't see the point of Zach or Simons being dealbreakers. Nurkic is another story and cannot be compared to Zach and Simons. But if AD committed for more years then I would take Nurk to the airport myself lol . If yoi have AD and Dame locked surely more will come and for cheap.
