Exclusive Anthony Davis Sweepstakes Entry: Blazers

Dont do that, zero chance that we can get Davis. Other teams can beat our offers pretty easily
Did you read the Woj piece? Griffin doesn't want to do a full rebuild in NO. He wants established players and picks. CJ is a top 30 player-- maybe higher given his recent playoff performance. What other team will offer a top 30 player, a former lottery pick who also is on the verge of breaking out, and salary relief? It would keep NO somewhat in the playoff hunt while getting youngins to develop.

An offer highlighted by CJ and Collins isn’t much different than what Toronto gave up for Kawhi.
As I've highlighted a million times here, it's EXACTLY the same. Contract situations too.

CJ + Collins + future pick == DeRozan + Poeltl + future pick

Masai even landed Danny Green out of this. E'Tuawn Moore is the equivalent there.

And the fears of him walking are mostly unfounded. All four LA and NY teams are going to blow their cap space this summer. The only team of significance with capspace next summer will be GS which is a scary thought (but really unlikely). A deep playoff run and Dame's leadership should be enough to get him to re-sign.

You swap CJ and Collins for AD and you become a finals contender imo. Stay the same and your ceiling is probably what we saw this year aka can beat most teams except the one that matters. And instead of trying to match up with golden state, go the other way. Look how much trouble Nurk gave them.

I wonder if maybe we can send our own pick to Charlotte instead of New Orleans. I think that would make it much more likely for Charlotte to OK it. Would the pelicans really need that 25th pick? CJ, Zach, and #12 is a great offer in itself imo.

Imagine to trade for Anthony Davis and keeping the two best players (Lillard and Nurkgoat), while also trading Evan turnover away. Yeah sounds great but like i said this wont happen. Neil is not the guy to do this trade and i would seriously recommend Griffin to check his brain if he would be okay with that trade

Great you don’t think it’s going to happen. Don’t need to post the same thing over and over again. It’s annoying to read.

Maybe Olshey takes more risks now that he’s locked up long term.

Btw, the Woj piece suggests Griffin would preferably like to get something done before the draft, so we could see a relatively quick resolution.

If they found a way to turn CJ and Zach or another young guy into a year of AD my hype meter for next season would be crazy...

Honestly don't see the point of the Harkless/Moore additions. I'd rather keep Moe if possible.

It would be hilarious to see national media being forced to talk about the Blazers. I bet if it happens they forget about it real quick though, kind of like Toronto with Kawhi, until they were forced to talk about it again.

I dunno man. I think Dame crushing OKC has gained us some national media traction. If we come out hot next season, we will be the talk of the NBA.

Yeah.. His 3pt% is lovely but looks like he's been injured more than Moe:

I don't think New Orleans does that trade with Moore. They'd consider it with Solomon Hill because he's worthless. We can include Harkless because we'd have Batum and could still re-sign Layman and Aminu if we really wanted to. I freaking can't stand Batum when you consider his contract but if he helps us get AD then I'll welcome him back with open arms!
