Exclusive Anthony Davis Sweepstakes Entry: Blazers

Maybe Charlotte wants Harkless. He’s an expiring, still only 26, and they’d get his bird rights. Pretty low risk.

I wonder if maybe we can send our own pick to Charlotte instead of New Orleans. I think that would make it much more likely for Charlotte to OK it. Would the pelicans really need that 25th pick? CJ, Zach, and #12 is a great offer in itself imo.

This also works without the Mo/Moore swap.

Just spitballing this a bit further... If Lakers come up short this off-season, LeBron is going to want a trade. Would you swap Batum+Mo(or Moore) for LeBron?

lol hell ya. But I think if all else fails for Lebron, they'll trade for CP.

Looking at other teams potential offers I really can’t see anyone offering a more ideal package unless they dragged ina third team, at which point it gets real tricky.

Lakers- who’s the all star caliber player in their offer? Their offer is only attractive if you’re rebuilding.

Celtics- first off, why would they even go after AD if/when Irving walks? Why sacrifice Tatum? They’d also have issues matching contracts.

Knicks- see Lakers.

Nets- who’s the headliner?

Clippers- see Nets.

Denver- this is a possibility, but the headliner here would be Gary Harris. He’s solid, but he’s not CJ and Collins is better than whoever else they’d offer up.

The list really dwindles down the more you look at it. Portland stands out because they have the motivation, the players, and multiple expirings to match $ and also to get other teams involved. They check the most boxes.

Nuggets was my only other alternative. I was thinking along the lines of Millsap/Murray/picks. They'd need to pick up Millsap's option first. Still think our potential package is better. But an AD-Jokic front court would be insane.

While this is all true, getting the 3rd or 4th pick might trump getting the 12th pick or worse. Guys like Ingram, Hart, Kuzma, Knox, DSJ, etc. could easily be packaged in other deals.

As soon as I read Wojs piece and what New Orleans is looking for in a return, I knew we were in. Doesn’t mean we’re going to get him, but that’s more so because Im not sure where Olshey stands. If he’s willing to offer up CJ and Zach, watch out. If New Orleans just wants to completely rebuild, forget it.

Sure, but it’s not easy. They’d have to find a team willing to trade an all star caliber player (or someone on CJs level) that New Orleans would also be interested in. Then they’d have to make the money work. The team with that all star player would also have to be going into a rebuild. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but good luck.

. Cannot wait to learn talks did not progress because Olshey made CJ untouchable

Replacing CJ wouldn’t even be that big of an issue because AD would essentially be his replacement offensively. We’d have a more balanced attack playing through Dame, AD, and Nurk. It’d be Dame/Aldridge/Rolo on allllll the energy drinks. Maybe Hood takes the tax MLE knowing he’d start on a title contender. If not, maybe go after someone like Wes or Temple.

Tell me Woj isn’t talking about Portland starting at the :45 second mark. Sounds like he stopped himself short of mentioning the western conference after the KD/balance of power shift remark too. I mean Denver qualifies, but we know how close Woj is to Olshey. I think he’s talking about the Blazers specifically, and I also think he left their name out of his article on purpose.

This fucking bitch and his obssesion with big Market teams, seriously, i hope he never makes the Playoffs with these garbage Franchises

Prediction: AD will be traded to an Eastern conference team, even if a team in the West floats a moderately better offer.

It doesn't matter where he wants to go this summer. Pels can trade him wherever they want to.

Sure, this whole Situation is so weird, every time Shams makes a update about Davis, it's always about the Lakers and the Knicks, every time Woj makes a update about Davis, it also includes other teams. I could guess Shams is Rich Paul's mouthpiece and Woj is Griffins Mouthpiece

The teams and agents are all about "leaking" to the media things that they want out there. NO probably told Woj he wanted AD, or Griffin said something. Then someone else with a different agenda came out and said something to shams or whomever. Then AD will someday come out and tell us that the media sucks and he never said anything or was part of anything, though he knows for a fact that he just let other people (his representatives) say stuff for him. They all hate the media so much but love using it to get their message across.

More teaser stuff that wont happen!
You post more fake trades than anyone in here, again, who cares. If it's not fun for you to talk about it, why come in just to shit on a thread?

I checked out Clutch Fans and read this
"Yep, but that's still a great package, CJ and Nurkic are also young and locked on good deals for 2/3 more years, i just don't think the Blazers offer both, but if they do i think they have a great chance here, CJ, Nurkic, Collins and a pick would be an amazing return, tbh, too good, they might offer Nurkic, Collins, and multiple picks just like us with Capela, Hartenstein and picks, maybe CJ with Collins and picks, but i don't know if they would trade CJ...#695Vivi, Today at 12:23 PM"

Everyone is setting themselves up for major disappointment for when he evantually gets traded to the Lakers. Just like PG to the Thunder...

Let this be the warning. Seen this movie many times.
