Why NOP does this - CJ and Jrue are a great fit together. Gives them an all-star level guard, and CJ, Jrue, and Zion would be competitive. Collins is the young player they may value, and they still get a lottery pick.

Why CHA does it - They save $13M, and they're likely to give Kemba Walker a deal starting at $38M a year this year. MJ isn't the richest owner in the sport, and their luxury tax bill looks bad. Cost saving move for sure. They save $27M in 2020-2021 as well.

Assuming Portland resigned Rodney Hood for the tax-payer MLE and Aminu on a 1-year deal, their pre-Nurk rotation would be this.

As soon as I read Wojs piece and what New Orleans is looking for in a return, I knew we were in. Doesn’t mean we’re going to get him, but that’s more so because Im not sure where Olshey stands.
