Everyone is setting themselves up for major disappointment for when he evantually gets traded to the Lakers. Just like PG to the Thunder...

Let this be the warning. Seen this movie many times.
The Thunder thing came out of nowhere and would support AD having a chance to be traded to a place like Portland though.

Man, hope is a powerful tool if used correctly bro. Let people use it if they so desire.

Alright, let have some fun I guess.

POR Gets:
Anthony Davis
Nicolas Batum
Willy Hernangomez

CHA Gets:
Maurice Harkless
Gary Trent Jr.
25th Pick (POR)

NOP Gets:
C.J. McCollum
Zach Collins
12th Pick (CHA)
36th Pick (CHA)
2021 POR 1st

Why NOP does this - CJ and Jrue are a great fit together. Gives them an all-star level guard, and CJ, Jrue, and Zion would be competitive. Collins is the young player they may value, and they still get a lottery pick.

Why CHA does it - They save $13M, and they're likely to give Kemba Walker a deal starting at $38M a year this year. MJ isn't the richest owner in the sport, and their luxury tax bill looks bad. Cost saving move for sure. They save $27M in 2020-2021 as well.

Assuming Portland resigned Rodney Hood for the tax-payer MLE and Aminu on a 1-year deal, their pre-Nurk rotation would be this.

Lillard (36) / Turner (12)
Hood (30) / Simons (18)
Batum (28) / Layman (20)
Davis (24) / Aminu (24)
Leonard (18) / Hernangomez (18) / Davis (12)

Once Nurkic returns, I'd like for Portland to trade Leonard for a backup wing (Courtney Lee, hopefully better?)

Lillard (36) / Simons (12)
Hood (20) / Lee (20) / Simons (8)
Batum (22) / Layman (18) / Hood (8)
Davis (30) / Aminu (18)
Nurkic (26) / Hernangomez (16) / Davis (6)

Okay Lavar. Speak it into existence then.

I've seen all this "hope" many different times, and it's always gotten dashed. I'm just going off history. If AD is in a Blazers uniform next year I'll be more shocked than I've ever been at a move.

Could even do a 2023 1st, but make the 2021 1st lottery protected and if it doesn't convey, then it turns immediately into a 2022 2nd.

Fuck, I don't want to buy into another star we won't land!!! I'm so tired of that... Don't buy in.... Don't buy in.... Trade idea.... DAMMIT!!!!

I actually dont really know what to think. Itd be awesome if it happened, but the fact were all talking about it, makes me think if there was something there it’s already fallen through.
After the trade "Portland was pushing hard for Anthony Davis and were close to completing a trade, but things fell through late Sunday night. Anthony Davis is a Laker."

I have no news or updates, but....

Bump!

As soon as I read Wojs piece and what New Orleans is looking for in a return, I knew we were in. Doesn’t mean we’re going to get him, but that’s more so because Im not sure where Olshey stands. If he’s willing to offer up CJ and Zach, watch out. If New Orleans just wants to completely rebuild, forget it.
People are smoking if they don't think Olshey would jump on a deal centered around CJ and Zach for AD

He wouldn’t include CJ for George. If AD wasn’t on a one year contract sure.
