I recently bought a Sig Sauer Mosquito (22) pistol and a Ruger (22) riffle. Pretty fun to shoot for a beginner like me. I think my next gun will be a Glock 17 9mm.

What about you guys?

I have a couple of .22 rifles. One is an 18-shot semi-automatic, the other is a bolt action rifle that my dad had when he was a kid.

I haven't shot either of them in years, though I'm saving them for the upcoming end of the world in 2012, when the feral packs of looters try to take over private residences.

Can we join parties? I'm not even kidding.

Too bad the end of the world will invariably involve the undead. Guns won't do much good.

ironically I just watched Zombieland last night cause it was on Starz. My wife isnt into those movies but kept watching cause Tallahasee is funny. A bullet can kill a zombie yes.

I recently purchased a gen 4 Glock 19. It's a solid platform. They changed a lot of things for the better. 9 mm is more than ample for someone who wants to hone their craft. With defensive rounds, they can hit just as hard as a .45 or .40.

Pretty much common knowledge.

Yup. According to the zombie handbook written by hollywood, if the undead ever rise we will be able to kill them with bullets.... unless they're infected zombies, instead of undead... in that case all bets are off.

Oh shit. Nate has a real gun now.

Is that a threat???

The zombies in The Walking Dead confuse me. They shuffle around like random turtles, yet most of the world has been infected? Is it an airborne virus as well as a fluid-based virus? Hopefully they will clear this up in Season Two.

I too am a gun owner, and as you know, I'm quite irresponsible. I recommend an immediate self-ban, "Consultant".

Sincere question: Why do you own guns? Except for hunting, I don't see the need. Seems a little extreme and actually unneeded for home protection. How many times have an armed intruder broken into your home while you are there?

They are fun to shoot.
And just in case an intruder does break into my home, I'd rather be safe then sorry. My neighbors home was broken into a few months ago.

A poor man's Henny Youngman poses no threat to me. :)

I recently had a gun held in my face for 'trespassing.' Got the charges dropped as I counter-charged for kidnapping. I love Virginia laws.

I used to shoot rabbits and other varmints on some family property. I keep the guns.

Also, when the world starts to end next year, you'll be wishing for some sort of personal protection.

Dude fucking ignore me, bro! Lets join forces.

Why should I have to wear a seatbelt? How many times have I been involved in an accident in which I could have been ejected from my car?

It's not an issue of probability, just of peace of mind.

My most recent purchase was for a security job, but I've had guns for most of my life. I've hunted since I was around 12, but I also have a few self defense guns. The AR 15 is pretty much just for fun though.
