I know nothing about PapaG beyond the confines of this forum....but there were times it sure seemed like he had issues.

He would go through lengths of time where he was a totally normal and level headed guy, and then every once in a while he would snap. I suspect it was something in his home life. He would go through something and come on here and take it out on us.

The thing that really bothered me about him was that he would dig up personal stuff and use it against you when you disagree with him about something. He tried to take some shots at my wife based on some things that I had said years ago. He would attack my writing profession. I'm totally fine with someone mocking my opinions that I post, or disagreeing with me, but actual personal attacks is too far.

And then there's the other stuff. He tried to get Ed O in trouble with his job. He went after Sly (I don't remember the whole story). The guy was just extremely volatile and the forum is better without him.

Just saying because i like both of ya, but i think both of you post more extreme to each other than normal because of history. If both sides showed a bit more leniancy for the others opinions, i bet you guys could get along and have discussions as well. Just sayin.

Seems like a very nice guy in person, but then he didn't call me a racist in person.

I think maybe he's like I am in that I don't talk politics with anyone in person, if I can avoid it. No good ever comes of it, and there are so much more interesting things to talk about face to face.

The internet is more suited for heated discussions, which politics will always bring out. It's the nature of the beast. I've tried to have discussions with him, but maybe I trigger his rage for some reason.

He sees me as having lived on the greener side of the fence, and I see myself as having lived without a fence.

He's a glass-half-empty guy and I'm a glass-half-full guy.

I know from meeting him and his son that he's every bit as fortunate as I am in life, but while I'm happy about it he feels victimized about it.

But maybe that's just his screen persona.

I just know ive spoke to both of you and i know you both geniunely want good things for all humans. You aRe both good peolple. Just different opinions on where we are as a society and how we got here. But i think you would both agree that you both want peace and oositivity for all.

There seems to be a couple people around here that feel the same about me, but they are so far off from that, its kinda funny.

I don't know the history of PapaG , but I DO know that sometimes, one thing can be totally twisted around and then the herd starts to believe the twist without knowing the facts... like me trying to F with someones family on here was totally bogus, yet I believe a few people here fell for it and now think I would actually do something like that and think I'M a total douche because they THINK I tried to mess with a member outside of here.
So I do know how the flip side ofthe coin feels when something is twisted like that.

Not saying you are twisting anything, but, it can happen.

Yep. I wanted to fly him here for that. I'm not sure if that was exactly when I posted my number. @KingSpeed called me to see if it was my real number. Maybe he remembers.

Whoa man, that's serious shit! Its just a forum. I'M assuming that would have been in retaliation for something he had already done outside of the forum?

I mean there are a couple people here I Would laugh in their face at walk away if I met them in person at this point based on their online persona with me, but I wouldn't want violence to be inflicted upon them.

Now with that said,

I DID drive to a guys house once back in the early 90's from a Seattle forum, because the dude had threatened a female forum member in person at a gathering and her and I were friends. He wasn't home. He was lucky too... I suppose so was I, but I was raged out. He had actually threatened to rape her. Even the bartender heard it and 86'd him. I wasn't there, but I heard all about it and got in my car and drove to his house. LOL

Yeah that’s the most bullshit thing a few mods have said about dviss. There is bias on this forum towards certain members, deny it all you want. Sure he attacks posts, but he also attacks a lot of people. You guys just choose not to see it because bias...

You quote only the part that is convienent for you. You forgot, "for the most part" in the beginning of that quote. When he does insult the poster, it gets deleted like everyone else. No bias.
