Any word on Nico?

Hopefully just a strain. Nic is built like rubber band. If he blows out a knee, all hope is lost for this franchise.

I looked from all our camera angles seeing if he landed wrong on his ankle or tweaked his knee. It was the play when Pierce drove by him. They didn't bump knees. Like I said he said he felt a "stretching" feeling, not a pop. It was tough just seeing him leave on crutches. I am so numb to all of this now!

Oden
Roy
Przybilla
Camby
Williams
Pendergraph
And now (potentially) Batum has some sort of knee injury.

That's four starters right there. As a fan it's draining. Something like this always happens.

At this point, I'd take the Jail Blazers over the Frail Blazers. At least then, I didn't have to invest in the actual players, because I knew they really didn't give a crap about the fans.

If I was employed by the blazers like you, I would wear a heavy knee brace to work every day.

What are the odds that guy has a girlfriend? 1/100? He's worse than guys who paint their faces, which I've never understood.

About as far as I go is a jersey and hat... that's it. I made signs when I was a little kid, but I haven't done that in decades. I just want to tell the guy to sit down. He's making us look bad.

It's like 3rd degree burns - the pain has stopped because the nerve endings are seared away. If I thought God actually cared about sports, I would be roaming the streets, burning churches.

Could you imagine if he's out for the year (**knock on wood**) I'd bet money that Cho's only action is signing a D-League fringe player.

I love this idle front office.

It's easy to bash Cho, but really, he doesn't have much options at this point. The most tradable assets, Miller and Pryzbilla, are they only players holding down their positions at this point. Would you like to see 48 minutes of Sean Marks? What about 48 minutes of Patty Mills?

assuming batum is out at least a month. this season officially ends anyway.

I think it actually happened when him and Rondo hit knees. Batum's bent lateraly, Thought at the time it was amazing he didn't tear something. Probably PCL or MCL.

Batum said it was the play where Pierce drove and he was giving ground.

im guessing mild hyoer extension of knee which will be 2-4 week recovery. that is what it sounds like batum is describing.

why not? if Nic is out for a good while, trade the vets, get a better draft pick, and see what the few young guys we have left got. and play whatever guys we get back in trade - why the heck not?

Hardly any team ever does that when they're still in the playoff race...

well a lot of teams IMO aren't very smart since the odds of us doing anything in the playoffs, if we even made it, are slim and none. If Nic's out for the yr the "none" is very likely. GM's that can look ahead and get their head out of the present and be realistic are ones that will do the better job for their team.

Even if the logic makes sense, it never happens, and that's not something you can fault Cho for.

I did and have not faulted CHO, I however will "fault" mgmt, whether that ultimately is Allen or CHO, if they do not take the logical and what I think is the "smart" and even obvious course of action if NICO is out. I'm a fan, I can rage and yell if I want and especially if I think I have good reason! LOL

thank goodness for the Timbers. I know most of you dont care, but should come check us out in a couple of months. Its always a blast there.

I hope to god though they arent cursed as well.

I'll definitely be checking out the Timbers. The Blazers have been just too damn depressing of late.

What's the over/under for knee injuries to Timber players this year? I swear it's something in the water.

nice. Dont replace the Blazers by any means.. the Timbers arent doing that for me... but its nice to have other stuff to look forward to as well

You can't fault the fragrant one for trying to improve the team going forward?

What the hell is with this "fragrant one" line? It seems like a party of one around here who gets it. If you want to stick him with a deprecating handle, it seems to me that it ought to at least be one that is intelligible. As it is, I'm left guessing as to your intended meaning and some of my guesses don't put you in a very good light.

Great news for Blazers: Nicolas Batum MRI on left knee is NEGATIVE, revealing only a bone bruise. Listed as day-to-day.

Good news!
