I just woke up with a sore throat. No fever though.

Does an overriding crushing all consuming apocalyptic surreal feeling of depression and confusion overwhelming me, count?
Asking for a friend...

No seriously, this really is some weird shit...
Stay healthy and laugh whenever you can...

Only the effect of crawling around my garden getting covered with pollen, dust, mold spores. Always a bit stuffed and itchy eyed early spring.

Lucia has hairballs. Fortunately well stocked with paper towels and holding disposable gloves for such emergencies.

Im just dealing with (knock on wood) allergies.

Wife has been sick. but not me and it doesn't seem like the right symptoms? But who knows?

I have been extremely sick, on the 7th I ended up having to go to the hospital as I had a fever approaching 103. Along with the fever I had a cough, no energy, terrible headache, sore throat, and just about every other symptom that closely aligns with Covid-19. When I arrived they tested me for it and admitted me to the hospital, day two I found out I did not have Covid-19 but I was still in the hospital for another four days with severe fevers that turned into pneumonia. Finally on the 12th I was released from the hospital after being treated for all of the above including antibiotics through an IV to combat the pneumonia.

Two days later I began feeling sick again with fevers over 102 again and I ended up back in the ER the next day with direction from my GP, upon arriving I was diagnosed with a new case of pneumonia in my other lung and was prescribed more antibiotics, another few liters of fluids through IV, and then released back to home. I requested multiple times to be retested for Covid-19 but was denied on each request stating "there aren't enough kits". Along the way, every single nurse, and every doctor all openly admitted they believed I have Covid-19 including my GP, but I still couldn't get retested because the CDC is the one that makes the call on who gets tested.

I am sitting in my bonus room as I type this has affected of course my immediate family being my wife and my daughter the most significantly. But it has also impacted my 71 year old mother too who has had to come over multiple times to help take care of my toddler daughter while my wife has had to drive my barely breathing corpse around to appointments. My mom as of right now also cannot get tested for Covid-19 because I came back negative, so she does not have "direct contact with someone who is known to have had Covid-19". My oldest brother and his son under duress recently had to move in with my mother too, and they too are in the same situation as my mom and can't get tested even though all three of them are showing mild symptoms. Finally about 14 or so days after the original date I started feeling sick I am feeling like I am not about to keel over and die at any moment, the symptoms by the end with the pneumonia meant I could hardly breath and was only using a fraction of my actual lung capacity.

In conclusion yes I have been terribly sick, and take note as I am 35 years old, do not smoke, rarely drink, eat healthy (my wife is an amazing cook), am not overweight, have no underlying health issues, and am generally not susceptible to being sick very often. What strikes me the most about this whole thing has been how incredible the health workers I interacted with were pretty much across the board, and they are putting themselves and their family at risk every day, kudos to them I cannot say enough good things about how amazing they were and their self sacrifice and service. Next, the sheer incompetence of the Trump administration and the national GOP has been nothing short of staggering, their head in the sands approach, actively encouraging people to continue as normal, their lack of preparation, vacant leadership in helping getting medical supplies to states that need them, firing the pandemic task force in the NHS, firing the pandemic taskforce in the CDC in 2017, their concern on the economy over American's health and safety, and most egregiously their lack of testing for Covid-19 based on political motivations is completely mind boggling. I thought this level of incompetence, shortsightedness, narcissism, and cartoonish villiany was something observed in comic book villains.

my best wishes are with you

Yes, feels kind of like the flu only worse. I also have some trouble breathing.
Why do you ask?

Wife has been sick. but not me and it doesn't seem like the right symptoms? But who knows?
We all depend on our wives like our lives depend on it. Hope your wife is better soon as I know she most likely means the world to you.

I'm pretty lucky. We really are in pretty good shape for the most part both physically and financially. We got a big pack of toilet paper and a water filter. Just took the next week off as we are cutting all shifts in half so i'm gonna work around the house. Plenty of everything we need. She has been sick but she doesn't seem to have the same type of symptoms. She cleaned out the shed today so she feels better.
At this point it's up to us to take care of those around us and just keep on doing the right thing.

You make sure you take care Lanny.

My throat has been sore too but only in the morning, usually by 12/1 pm it subsides. I’m pretty sure it’s just allergies though as I don’t have a cough (other than an occasional throat clear) or fever.
