Anyone an expert on PC viruses?

I have this same group of spyware/malware/viruses that keep coming back, shutting down my browser and raping my computer. I keep uninstalling them but they keep coming back. Anyone a pro on this stuff? I've tried Spybot, CC Cleaner, Registry fixer, you name it but they keep coming back! Prease herp!

Some viruses are too big and not worth the hassle, time & money. Sometimes its better to get a new one. How old is the PC?

Spybot is ineffective against malware. In my experience, avast! is the best AV program.

I don't think it's anything too big or hostile yet. Just annoying spam ads and redirecting home pages to something other BS. I could always do a full system restore but I'd like to try removing the shit first.

Do you have a back up disc? Some of the trash that attacks your puter can go deeper than a system restore. I also would consider the age of your current system.

No, it didn't come with a backup disc. I think a restore would get it right but it's having to configure everything again and backup when I need to keep that I don't want to spend the time doing if I can avoid it.

So no one has any ideas on going in manually and getting rid of the bad stuff huh?

Yeah..but to go in and erase/correct code is not for the timid. If you did not burn your own back up disc, I would doubt both my ability to tell you how and your ability to follow along. lol

I would have to think your best shot then is to do the system restore. go back as far as you can, and stay off the damn porn sites. First thing you do is burn a damn back up disc.

Tell me! I can do it! lol My experience is that doing a restore to a previous point doesn't really do shit. I was thinking more along the lines of a full system restore, bringing it back to the day it was purchased. That's a lot of work too though.

Problem with free ware is that they often attach other cap to it, for many, they fail to remove the junk before installation , often making the problem worse. If the guy has not taken the time to burn a back up disc....well, you know.

Oh I have no embarassments. We all watch porn so I have nothing to be ashamed of. I enjoy it thoroughly. lol Probably a torrent site more specifically is where I got it though...

Google the redirect URLs and they usually tell you what you'll have to do.

I've always had great success with hammers when trying to fix computers... If it doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.
Old school, but it does the job.

I actually just tried this last night. It says it got some stuff out but it definitely came back again.

Do this:

1. Copy Malwarebytes to a jump drive.

2. Unplug computer from internet.

3. Reboot computer, start hitting the F8 key right when it goes from the BIOS to Windows.

4. Have computer boot into Safe Mode.

5. When done booting put jump drive into computer. Right click on the Maywarebytes program and click on Run as Administrator.

6. Remove jump drive.

7. Reboot computer.

8. When you go back into your normal Windows run Malwarebytes again.

9. Connect back to the internet.

I actually just tried this last night. It says it got some stuff out but it definitely came back again.

...after it finds malicious threats you must clean them, restart comp, and run maleware bytes again (lather, rinse, repeat until zero threats are found). After this, Microsoft Security Essentials is a good free anti-virus software -- AVG is also pretty good.

Make sure to backup the infested files, too. You can't tell which ones they are sometimes. That's how you get the same viruses again - by restoring them from your backup.

Me and HCP don't get viruses.
